Haste Makes Waste

Have a concept and precious little time, so could only try one approach with variations in the processing. Does this work for this challenge? If so, which version do you prefer?

    Three more experiments with the processing. Still using uncalibrated monitor so a bit of guesswork here.

    I like the tungsten in #3. It goes with the blue in the plate, and makes it different than just an ordinary shot.
    The goal of my photography is is the effective, original communication of a feeling expressing truth, beauty, or love.

    Good point. The haste was actually on the part of the person who packed it for shipping from Playa del Carmen or someone who dropped the box enroute! (A friend ordered a lot of dishes and this is one of the plates we sent in her shipment.) I've now dropped the shards of pottery again and their number has multiplied. Will post later. Thanks.

    I think I like the one with the dust pan better - the color of the pan complements the dish color so well, plus it reinforces the title. Neat idea!

    Thank you all for the input. I like #8 and #9 for different reasons, but agree that the dust pan sort of brings home the concept.
