Seems like every time I turn around there is a new screwup on SmugMug.
Now when I upload I get a message saying it is the wrong format (not). After uploading 5 times it finally took it...but it didn't appear in my gallery!
The site used to work great! Find that new guy and fire his ass.
Hi Ric,
Thanks for posting. I know it stinks that there's an uploading issue right now. We're doing everything possible to rectify the situation just as fast as we can.
I'm not sure what you mean by the last part of your post, would you care to elaborate?
I'm having problems too. I know you guys are working on it, but in case it helps for details...
I was trying to upload a single photo through firefox, tried both the java uploader and the most basic uploader. In both cases, the "processing image" placeholder appeared, but then disappeared after a minute or so, no image.
i'm sobbing right now. i want my uploading!
at least i'm not the only one.
maybe there should be an optional email system that notifies users if there is an outage, so i could know not to waste 30 minutes trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong before realizing it's not me.

There is no "new guy" - and that's part of the problem.
As some of you know, I just spent the last two weeks in the hospital. My wife is pregnant with twins, and she went into pre-term labor. Luckily, they had Wi-Fi at the hospital, so I was able to stay on top of almost everything while I was there 24 hours a day. But a few things slipped through the cracks, and this was one of them. It was a stupid, honest mistake on my part.
So the only person to blame is me - and I'm not firing myself.
I'm happy to report that after a long search (more than a year), I've found someone talented enough to entrust your photos to. He'll be joining us in a few weeks and then we'll have someone else to blame.

We all make mistakes.

Thought I was doing something wrong again-glad to here it's not my fault this time.
