shortear owl BIF's

Here are the shortear owl photos I got last sunday..I've never seen an owl in the wild in person so that was a thrill. There was 5 or 6 of them flying around together. This was at Bong state park.

    Wow, nice series! Owls are just not a bird you run into very often and I have only seen one in flight once. Great shots!! thumb.gif

    Jaw-droppingly stunning! You are going to have to share your digital workflow with me. Those colors just pop! I envy you. I would love to see an owl in the wild.

    now this is something clap.gif you can tell by all the owl shots you see posted :D or not posted rolleyes1.gif you did dam good thumb.gif I sometimes get a little to excited with this kind of a find and mess up but you did not bowdown.gif

    Thank you Jeff. I was afraid that they would be blurry when I got them home. this was a pleasant surprise for me. ironically I did mess up the one shot I took of a shortear sitting in a tree.eek7.gif go figurene_nau.gif

    thanks Maestro. I think all I did is auto contrast, boost the saturation & sharpen some ,crop. Tried not to over sharpen ,I tend to do that .

    WOW Lovely, I am so envious of you guys that can track moving Birds, I always seem to lose them when I try .
    and with all the big glass you need ,do you alll use tripods and monopods,? how do you have the freedom to Move, i always feel tied down on a monopod??????

    thanks.... i did have my monopod, but these were hand held at shutterspeeds of 500,640,1250.
