    Some very nice shots!

    I was just on Hwy 1 yesterday. From 46 North. I didn't stop for too many
    pictures though.

    Nice shots. When I lived in Monterey, my favorite places to take photos was the old coast highway, a dirt road near the bixby bridge, Palo Colorado Road, and anything up in the Ventana Wilderness area. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for taking a look. Leaforte, I'm interested in learning a little more about the Old Big Sur Highway and the dirt road by Bixby Bridge. Do you have any pictures or any info you would like to share.

    Mik,

    The road by the Bixby Bridge eventually joins back up with 1. It's doable in a
    higher clearance vehicle.

    Fun stuff.

    After entering the north end of the road, you will climb the hill through some cattle land, but looking back you will get some breath taking views of the ocean. There are some cool manzanita groves near the top and around the south end. If you get the chance, check it out.
