  I used bokeh on this as I had no option for moving the subject and didn't want the distracting background.

  Judging from the description ... i would expect that steven had his foot through the floor re ISO & that can do strange things to a photo & if im correct then i think he has done an excellent job with it. If its around the 3200 then well done to ditch the noise.

  yea, most of the time I'm shooting iso1600 (it's only a 10D) and f2.8
  to get anything useful... and Noiseware is my friend
