Re: Okay.. Answer If you dare...
These are all really great answers. My only additional information will be the technique I use when I shoot action shots for a (soccer) team ( a service I provide:$200 gets you game coverage of print ready images on a cd - and that price needs to increase). My usual clients for this are 9 - 13 yr old teams or adult rec… -
Re: Need more PS help, please
Sara, There are just too many ways to skin this cat, and I know you're getting overloaded with them, but I am going to show you the easiest. It won't be the best, mebbe, but it'll get you through those hundreds of photos quickly. It's all based on the pop tutorial that Andy linked in your other thread, it's also in my… -

Re: Frames frames frames Imagekind!!
No one is home. 95% of my sales are off of my smugmug with me no where to be seen. I do not have the time to try to push a sale for a frame. Some of the things I can ask or suggest for are the following. CUSTOMERS ABLE TO ORDER THEIR OWN FRAME! Let us be able to do the mark up like we do with our pictures. Blend it in with… -
Re: Rods or Cones: A discussion of B&W vs Color
When I first began shooting with a SLR (embarrassment time) in 1978-79, it was all B&W for me. I'd converted a small restroom into a makeshift dark room and would buy my film in bulk, filling my own canisters. I only returned to 'serious' dSLR photography a couple of years ago, starting out with colour but quickly… -
Re: Time to buy some lights
While I'm not opposed to fluorescent lighting in photography, there are some limitations. The first is that fluorescent lights are not a continuous spectrum. Fluorescent phosphors work in specific wavelengths only and the mixed phosphors in a daylight fluorescent only simulate continous spectrum lighting. The results with… -
