Re: Lightbox customization
@Allen I use the same, but thanks :-) I actually used that "pointer" on the left and pointed on the lightbox-image to get all css that works with that part of the side and then started narrowing it down, by disabling line for line and changing a few things here and there to test them. That way at least I don't have to go… -
Re: Norfolk, VA...suggestions?
Do not take 95 if you want to avoid traffic! You can go directly from the airport (BWI, right?) to 97 S, then 3 South which turns into 301 south. You can take that to Richmond and then catch 64 E, or you could even take "backroads" before you get to Richmond for shorter drive, but they won't be as fast as 64. But 301 will… -
Re: A day around NYC
Thanks guys. Bernand, I just looked up the cover art for "Physical Graffiti" and found out it was shot at 97 St. Marks Place. We did a lot of walking on Saturday, and were in the area, so there is a good chance it was the same building, or at least on the same street. I'll have to look through my other shots to see if I… -
Re: Dog a day..
Thought we needed a bump on this thread.:): Lousy (harsh) light today when I was at the offleash with BTWD. I always call this his "Top Gun" look ... pull in the wings (ears!) and go fast. Not quite as fast as he used to be, but does pretty darn good for a 12 year old ... P.S. For those of you in need of another dog book… -
Re: Is there a "best type of lighting" to edit under?
Don’t get too caught up with high CRI values! They were designed primarily to make Fluorescent bulbs appear better than they are. A high CRI is a decent gauge of how well a light will preform in your home but not such a great indicator of how well it will work for photography and proofing. Both a Solux 48 and a "full… -
Why do CF cards work this way in RawShooter

Rugby returns to the desert....
Fall in Phoenix and that means cool temperatures (only 97 on first day of October) and a few rugby scrimmages to start tuning the boys up. Grand Canyon University played a friendly with University of Arizona Saturday. Lots of teaching for the freshmen, and a fun 7's match for the first team. 1. 2. 3 4 5 6 Coach...... Fun… -
Re: CS3 Upgrade...
I just ordered my upgrade, from the same folks I bought CS2 from, for $199. I also purchased a copy of Lightroom, for $97. I have been using a demo version of lightroom, and I have been impressed. If I am correct, Lightroom will save me tons of time preparing images for slideshows at wedding receptions, and it will make my… -
Re: First shots with an umbrella!
I just went to the local photo shop here in Anchorage. Bought a Giottos lightstand, a speedlight/umbrella adapter and a Wescott convertable shoot through umbrella. I got all of it for $97 out the door. Yes, the catchlights are different. I like the ease of set up and take down of the umbrella due to us being in a small… -
Re: Full sized CMOS chip any time soon?
Nintendo's strategy worked great at the time; they did great with Super Mario in the Xmas of 97 and Nintendo 3D was a huge success when they introduced it the following year. Nintendo has lost market share big time to Sony and Microsoft since then. Is this the result of delaying Nintendo 3D by one year in '97? I don't…
