Mini-Challenge #92 - Down Low - Winners!
Sorry it took me so long to get this up - life has been crazy. I had a hard time narrowing it down; there was such a wide range of shots and I think I initially noted 17 that really jumped out at me :) Alas, I had to make some decision. I wish I could have included more - it was terribly hard to choose the final group of… -

Re: Ch 41: Knight Moves
Yes. I watched Knight Moves when it came out in '92. It's a movie about a chess player serial killer that uses his game tactics to plan his killing moves. That's why I thought the darker tones would work with the theme of the movie. Showing the knights setting up the check mate was part of the thought here. I tried to… -
Re: Lens Hood questions
Here is a link to some of the colors and color combinations available for the P-Touch; only the first few combos are actually fully illustrated, but all 63 are listed. The black and gold is classy and what I use the most:http://www.advizia.com/brother/modelDetail.asp?PkgID=383859&User=ptouch&Rnd=92 Then choose the "Tape… -

Re: Shutter Speed in the Studio
Just some added info: I have my office studio outfitted with Phillips F32T8/950 5000K bulbs with a CRI of 92. Works for me. While I don't do a lot of shooting in the office it seems to match the temp of my speed lights and strobes. As for SS versus exposure, just give it a try on your next setup. After your done with… -

Re: There are some true scumbags out there..
True... True... But I'm FAVin' that URL. I want to see what happens in 30 days. The guy has a domain name, so I suspect there will be a site there... sooner or later. TO EVERYONE: BTW, he "sounded" sincere to me. But, I also got to hear his voice. OH, and DON'T everyone call him... you'll probably piss him off. Put… -
Re: Nikon SB-700... less power?
The SB-700 looks to have a GN of 92' to the SB-800's 125' and the SB-900's 131'. It's only 6' off the SB-600's power. Have to agree- it fills the giant void that Nikon left when they turned the SB-800 into a collector's item. It's only going to be a replacement for the SB-600 in as much as it will replace it in my camera… -
Tripad - mount your laptop on your tripod for tethering..
I had a job coming up in cramped quarters on location so I picked up a "Tripad" on sale for $92. It is a triangle/table device that fits over your tripod and holds a laptop. It quickly and easily snaps together and/or apart for storage. Upon removing it from the box my first impression was less than flattering :) Perhaps…
