Re: Add a PayPal shopping cart to your SmugMug galleries
Lamah, That worked perfectly (see attached) !! D Thank you! So well that I'm inspired to take it to the next level... Is there a way to add a rectangular shaped background (with a choice of color) so it would look like an 'ordering panel' so to speak? I've looked at TalkieT's that you functionalized and based on what I can… -

FS (UK) 85mmf1.2L Mk2
Hi, I am thinking of selling my new 85f1.2Lmk2 lens as I just do not use it, I took a couple of pics of the kids and of one friend, and that's been it! It was an impulse buy; I have the other two of the 'trio', the 135f2L and the 35f1.4L (see pics in link below) and kept reading how great this lens was and other users… -
Tenba Digital Backpack DB-17C
I have been searching for a long time for a backpack that can be used as a carry on item, hold a lot of gear and be comfortable. I was pointed in the right direction by Tugrik. He posted a link to Tenbagear.com. I have a few of their other cases and bags, but had not seen this new line of bags. I searched the site and came… -
Re: Ivring Penn article in NY Times
Irving Penn links, a few Wow! I had forgotten what a contribution Irving Penn has made to the photographic community and the world at large. To try to condense his works to a few pieces is to ignore or diminish other works. It is like trying to show a glass of water to someone and have them imagine an Ocean. I attempted to… -

Re: Apertures for Landscapes
Something else to keep in mind is where your lens is strongest at; if you can get adequate DOF at f/8, and the lens is best at f/8, and is falling off at f/11, there's no point is using anything higher than f/8 (for example). I use the MTF values for my lenses from here: http://www.photozone.de/Reviews/overview Pick your… -
Re: Are the Smugmug servers overloaded?
1316/396 from Tampa Bay Road Runner. That's a bit thin, since I know my line is good for 4000-5000 to, say, Speakeasy Atlanta. Alas, I can't do a 'good' traceroute at the moment conveniently (WinMTR requires admin privs on 2000, and no linux boxen in the room -- and windows' traceroute is ... less than useful... but I… -
