Re: Studio Questions
1 - 1200 sq ft is really large for just the studio.......for changing area..use Asian Screen room dividers (make your own)......I shot with my 70-210 in my living room in a pre-fab house...lr was only about 150sq ft....headshot and 3/4 were easy....my first studio was in an antique shop 9specialized in hand made walnut… -
Re: An impromptu trip to a beach....
Thanks Jeff. I think the 200 IS a keeper, although there is a definite learning curve with it, and one which I didn't expect since I've used long lenses before (I still have my 70-210, and sold a 55-250 to fund this purchase), and didn't have THAT much trouble acclimatizing to the 85 1.8 and 100 2.0. But 100 to 200 is a… -
Re: Lowepro Vest Harness vs Shoulder Harness?
I decided I wanted to save money....I love Lowe Pro stuff (all my bags and accessorie bags are Lowe Pro that I carry now....have some going up for sale that are not)....so after looking atthe vest and belt and such....I opted for general usability and inexpensive.....I purchased a black Military webbed Pistol belts and… -
Re: Buying some accessories...thoughts?
Experience (over 30yrs photohtasphically) has taught me a couple of things regarding euipment..... 1- no such thing as enuff zoom or tele.....amybe too much a particluar instant ( a deer walked into my blind and was about 3 feet to close for my lens to focus) 2- never settle for what you may be 2nd best for you.....save a… -
Re: Help for making portraits
Do you have any Pro photo processing labs in your area.....Your profile is lacking a lot of info.....But here goes...... For several years my companion was a Nikon F70.....yup a Euro model bought here in the states (USA model was the N70)....I had this camera armed with a Sigma 70-210 lens........this camera shot wedding… -
Re: Should I Sell My 70-200 f4?
I think it comes down to either keeping the 70-200 or replacing the two lenses with a 24-70. If you're never using the 70-200, there's really no reason to have it, and I would wholeheartedly recommend getting a 24-70 (or 24-105, but I'd rather have the 2.8 than the IS). Look at your bag and see the holes in your lineup… -
Re: Concert Photography Help?
2 lenses 24-70 / 70-200 f2.8's....You could get by with either lens, but I would opt for the 70-200 if I had to have only 1 lens for any thing at all......if I needed to save a few bucks I can whole heartedly recommend Sigma (which I shot exclusively for over 28 yrs and never had a problem with any of my lenses).....I did… -

Re: Carrying a dSLR for while on the go...LowePro toploaders w/ chest harness
I like the 75aw's but to tell the truth, there isn't anything going to help a camera in abag if you leave a cycle at any speed....unless it is in something like a Pelican case.....I do not use the chest harness for mine it is just damned uncomfortable....In comparison to my LowePro Super Trekker AW backpack...I think the…
