DSS Challenge#69 My first post of pics & challenge
Here goes nothing, lol. I don't think the photo size is going to work since I don't know how to control this. So any help on that would be great. There were no size codes before the .jpg. But just in case it works: here are a couple shots while I was experimenting on Wed and seem to fit for the theme so I thought, "Why… -
Travel to Japan
Hi All, My Wife and I are planning at trip to Japan this summer as part of the Kalamazoo, Michigan/Numazu, Japan Sister Cities program. I would be interested in contacting Digital Grin members in that area. Numazu is about an hours drive South and West from Tokyo, near Mt. Fuji. We will also be visiting old friends (if we… -
Re: Acadia HDR
Thanks, I'm still learning myself. By way of advice, all I can say is trial and error. I use Photomatix for HDR and find it hard to resist the urge to use all of the sliders. Sometime it seems like a slight shift of a slider has a huge impact on the image. Sometimes it seems just the opposite is true. I also just started… -

Re: Time to upgrade - advice appreciated
Congrats on the purchase! To echo what others have said, you need to master the lighting before seeing any real quality gains. I would pick up a 50-70" soft box ASAP. (I am a big fan of the Elinchrom Rotalux 69") Big soft lights rule all when it comes to studio portraiture. Oh, and don't worry about crazy powerful light.… -
Re: Lenses: Your Personal Favorite???
Some amazing images here! Wow.... Myself, I just recently decided to take the plunge from cheap glass. I mean, why have a camera worth a thousand bucks or more with a $69 Sigma lens on it? Didn't make sense to me either. So last month I bought the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 after comparing it to my friend's L lens and I am thrilled… -
Re: "Beach Bums"
Very nice Cace As mentioned the composition is good and would be improved by cropping out some of the sky. Bringing the farthest child into the upper right "third" If you missed the shadow on the closest child, oh well, maybe next time....lol But, if you just mis-cropped it, you can re-crop it Thanks for sharing and good… -

Google Webmaster Tools - double meta descriptions and double tittle tags
Dear Smugmuggers, I just don't know what happens, but my Google Webmaster Tool shows, that at my site there's 504 double meta descriptions and 69 double tag tittles. Every picture I've uploaded has different tittle and description. So I don't know what's reason of that. Some time ago Google for Webmasters showed me that…
