Still having speed issues
Due to life constraints, I put my photography on hold for a few months - and a primary factor of that was the lack of speed to my smugmug site from anywhere around my area. It was frustrating to take pictures and have my customers tell me they couldn't see the pictures. I thought it had something to do with DSL vs Cable… -
Tepusquet Canyon
As I am out of school for the summer, I've been able to catch up on my riding lately. Wednesday, braving our first 100 degree day, I decided to make a 350 mile loop to the coast on what is rapidly becoming one of my favorite routes. As we left, the temperature gauge on my GS read 77. It soon rose to 85. . . . About 70… -
Re: 20X30" prints
I have a print of this frame and this frame at 20 x 30 inches in my office. Both were printed by Smugmug( EZprints ) and are viewable with your nose to the print. They are virtually grainless, and you can see individual grains of sand falling in the light beam in the first shot. Their dimensions, in pixels, taken from the… -

The Berghoff Restaurant, an important icon and Chicago historical gem, 1898-2006. Native Chicagoans were shocked and saddened when Herman Berghoff, 70, and 3rd generation owner of the famous Chicago establishment announced they would be closing their doors forever at the end of February, 2006. Mayor Richard M. Daley even… -

The DGRIN Mini-Challenges (Quick Links)
Welcome to Mini-Challenge #177 - Human Emotions I’m excited to be hosting my first mini. It’s been fun playing along for a couple of years; now it’s my turn to choose the topic! In my opinion, there’s nothing as interesting as human nature, or as fascinating as the human face. So….. I am interested in seeing your images of… -

Re: Lightbox slow - anyone else or just me?
First, this morning (1/29) as I write this, performance is decent. Not good, not normal, but 2-4 seconds for a large image to come up, and no failures. I will try to do it again if it gets worse.
