Re: Shooting houses
You want an ultrawide lens to shoot interiors, I use a Canon 10-22. The field of view of a wide angle lens will give you more of the room. The 10-22 has a 107° view angle at 10 mm, this will let you set up in a doorway and still capture most of a room. The kit 18-55 lens has a field of view of only 74° at 18 mm, a… -

Re: New wedding porfolio needs culling....
14, 15 , 22, 25, 41, 48, 63, 71, 74, 86, 108 By far the majority are very strong and beautiful, so this is just my objective, humble opinion: Fourteen is redundant of number 2, which is the stronger composition. The shadows on the bride's face in 15 make it look like a snapshot by a guest, and that shot is not up to par… -
Re: it's hot!
to be taken with a grain of salt, at the least "Crichton’s frank discussion of his subjective views regarding the issue of climate change provide important context for the novel itself. It’s clear that his personal opinions have shaped his portrayal of the environmental community as well as the science of climate change.… -
Re: Landscapes from Europe - first time post!
Thank you! Yes, the Church of our Lord "Christuskirche" is probably my favorite photo of all! By mistake I converted it to Black and White and added a faint blue tone under the split toning options within LightRoom "A modified Preset" - This photo was taken in Hallstatt Austria" during a short camping trip and shot with a… -
Re: The Elements -- behind the scenes
"Dubya"-My behind! I nearly did not enter an image for this round. During the shoot window we moved my daughter(link) off to college, I provided event coverage for an extravagant birthday party(link), and was involved in training 36 new employees at my “real job”. Aside from the time issue, I was deflated by all the… -

Re: The 7DmkII Thread.
Bryan Carnathan now has the camera and is updating his preview to a true user review: http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EOS-7D-Mark-II.aspx Just a few of his comments from that page: "At a summary level: Stuff a Canon EOS 1D X into a 7D-sized APS-C body with an APS-C-sized sensor, add a few enhancements (and… -

No Particular Place
Here are some shots from a recent moto trip - It appears my Canon S100 lens is scratched. Can you tell from these photos? I left Ellijay, GA, rode through Copperhill, TN, and got on TN 68 and rode it until I reached Joe Brown Highway - just north of Coker Creek Elementary School on the right. This road is turns to gravel…
