FS Hasselblad 503CX System
I have a complete Hasselblad system that I would like to sell. Here is a link to my website which showcases this gear. http://tinyurl.com/6ecbc5 The condition of this this gear is mint save for: (1) The Polaroid back, which is used but functional nonetheless and (2): The 220 mag, whose condition is the same. The images… -

SOLD: Canon EF 28-135 3.5-5.6 IS Lens
Edit: SOLD Lens was purchased about five years ago and has seen little action since then -- I'd guess that I've mounted it to either my Elan II or my 30D less than ten times in total. For my re-entry into SLR photography in 2006, I bought a 30D with a 24-70 2.8L lens, and I haven't used the 28-135 since, except for last… -
Re: I am ready for a new PC
I love my Dell 20" flat panel. I don't know if it's IPS or not (doubtful), but I find the colors to be very good and the lighting to be quite even. I think I paid $220 for it? My Viewsonic 20" is good, but not as good as the Dell. It tends towards a blue tint and gives a little bit more rich (though less accurate) colors.… -
Re: Nikon D7000
Yea the video's fun but I bought it for the pictures. I shot a Canon 30D until a few weeks ago and just received the D7K. i now have a Nikon 28-200 G which is a decent lens a and the 50 1.8. I've put some pictures up on my flickr (flickr.com/photos/philtherower) with the 50 and I'm just about to put some higher ISO (2000)… -
Re: good BACKPACK for OUTDOOR SPORTS & WILDLIFE shooter
Crumpler and Lowepro I recently saw a Crumpler Whickey and Cox camera bag and fell in love with it until I saw the price tag ($220). Crazy! I do not generally like the quality of the Tamron bags as I find their padding to be thin and materials feel cheaper. Lowepro makes good stuff but most screams "camera in here, steal… -
Re: The world of Lenses: Advice request
I have to second the previous opinion about the canon 50mm f 1.8. It's really nice, and very easy to use in low-light situations. And for $80 new you really can't go wrong. The one drawback is that on a DSLR its a little too long for my taste. Then again, I tend to shoot wide more often than I shoot tele, and I have never… -
Re: Scanners
I believe it was the Epson 4490 or 4990 that was rated extreme high by most of the testing facilities and they stated that the only way to get better was with a drum scanner.....the conclusion of all the reports I read was that the epsons were easier to use than any dedicated film scanner and not only that but you can do… -
Re: Vintage FSLR
Another possibility is to use hearing aid batteries. At the time I was using a Vivitar 220/SL it called for the #675 battery at 1.35 volt. The #675 hearing aid battery is the same size but 1.4 volt. The guy at the shop where I purchased my photo equipment back then was also a family friend that I trusted and he told me… -
Re: I just inadvertently scratched my DSLR's mirror system.
Horrible news:: The damage IS NOT covered by the warranty after all. One call to the service center confirmed that for me. (Honestly, I shouldn't have been so naive to believe it could be covered for free in the first place.) It will cost right around 200-220 dollars to get the mirrors repaired. At that rate, I'm almost…
