Re: Justi's Abrasive LPS Critique thread
#14 sunset sailor- plain to see as black or white Theme: I am assuming that this is a house of worship, so that fits under virtue. Aesthetics: I like the black and white conversion. The tones are starkw ithout losing information. The late day shadowa are good as well, I just wish that lamp had been a bit more lit up. The… -
Re: New Camera
I am a 19 year old college kid paying for tuition on loans lol, $1300 is a bit seep for me. I plan on making a decent amount of money over the summer and this will be my reward lol. Do you think I could be alright without the 70-200 lens? Also I guess thats where the benefit of the Pentax comes in, I could keep my Tamron… -
Re: Quality OR Quantity
I don't. Compare a well-retouched 24x36 gallery wrap to out-of-the-camera 4x6 printed at walmart. Or more fair, compare a 20x30 retouched print from WHCC with the same thing OOC at target. Which is a better value? The 19 cent piece of junk or the 1000 dollar work of art? The 25 dollar print or the 400 dollar print? There… -
Re: Youth hockey CC
There's something great about shooting ice hockey. I think it's the feeling you get when you look at the images after and you see that you've captured that fleeting moment. And with ice hockey being such a fast game, the moments are more fleeting than in other sports! You've got some nice shots there. Plenty of emotion… -
Re: Smoky Mountains/Tennessee/North Carolina
Thanks, all. I do like my accidental tunnel shot (even with the ballcap showing). Glad you enjoyed that as well. Our trip continued the next morning with a drive back through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway and head in to North Carolina to visit family. 1. We stopped at the… -

It is as follows:/* ================================================= MOVE THUMBNAILS BELOW PHOTO IN SMUGMUG LAYOUT ================================================= *//*change container width */.sm-page-layout-region .sm-page-layout-region-body { width: 80%;}/* Move the… -
25 Images from the October Acadia Trip
25 Images From The Acadia Trip Here are some of what I thought were keepers from the DGrin/Smugmug Acadia trip this autumn. Stuffjunkie (Kevin) and I drove out from Chicago in separate cars to Acadia. Along the way, we met up with Ann McRae, cmkultradome (Stepahanie), Phyxius (Christina) and Loper (Debbie) and stayed one… -
Last wedding of my summer... {Anna & Nitin}
It is about time I shared something... it has sure been a while. I have still been creeping the wedding forum, but not saying much. Just like most of you, I have had a super busy summer, so that is my excuse. Here is Nitin and Anna's wedding as copied from my bloggie. 1. <img class="p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter"… -
Proper English Proper?
Came across this email and couldn't resist sharing. :D 1) The bandage was wound around the wound. 2) The farm was used to produce produce. 3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse. 4) We must polish the Polish furniture. 5) He could lead if he would get the lead out. 6) The soldier decided to desert his… -
