clients viewing originals when disabled?
I was just checking out my gallery stats for some recent stuff I've shot. In two galleries from last weekend, I'm seeing hits on originals, even though they are disabled in both cases. (I double-checked.) I haven't pulled up any originals myself either, and neither client has yet purchased any prints or downloads, if that… -
Confusing Uploader Info
The last 2 times I did an upload using the Simple Uploader, the image(s) will upload and say complete but at the bottom the Overall Progress and Time Remaining isn't jiving. Below is a screenshot of my latest upload a few minutes ago but overnight I uploaded 156 images and the progress showed 157/156 while also showing… -
Re: Selling photos at the track
Many office/ electronics places had them for $112 to be precise. Canon IP4700. The ones I bought before were high end all in ones, Mp 630's. I bought 4 all up and paid in order of purchase, $157, 130, 100, 120. As for real photo printers, no sure what you mean by that but the prints are fantastic. They are not a 9000… -
Re: Analytics and SmugMug statistics-How to judge them?
Not sure why you selected just one day. I would think a longer sample would be more accurate, maybe a month or two? I have a Smugmug Site and a "regular" site. I don't promote my SM site. I do heavily promote my regular site. Here's my stats for July 31 to Aug 1 for comparison: Smugmug 5 visitors 5 unique visitors 14… -
Re: Canon shooters: What is your single best lens for sheer IQ?
Probably my only prime, the 500 f/4 IS. I love how it always gives those beautiful OOF backgrounds. But the 70-200 f/4L IS is rather fine too and more versatile than the 500, easier to carry too. I've started "borrowing" the 1.4x from the 500 and using it on the 70-200 as a BIF lens (70-200 * 1.4 = 98-280 * 1.6 crop =… -

I love photography
I just did a studio shoot with a model. First one ever. First time working with strobe lights. Made some mistakes (nothing horrible), Learned alot and am processing the photos right now. Biggest regret is I need to loosen up more and not be so stiff in the studio. But it was fun. I need some strobes now :clap . I'll have… -
Re: My first go at taking family portraits
Maybe you could use a small angle poise or something hidden behind them & have them sitting further away from the backdrop or a bulb/light clipped to a stand to you have the facility to move it how you want. I have a small Portaflash set up (Jessops - don't know if they have the equivalent in the US) (2 white umbrellas one…
