Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
Guess I'd better get caught up! Kelsey opted in on one of the pay-to-adventure items in Wanaka, which was a flight in an aerobatic plane where, with minimal instruction, you are placed behind the controls of an airplane, and you personally get to take it through the maneuvers, including takeoff and landing and a variety of… -
Dead scanner. Looking for suggestions.
I have had an Epson Perfection 1670 for a little over 10 years (bought refurb'd from Epson for $79 as a short term solution). I haven't been too happy with its capabilities for scanning slides, but it has done a decent job with some of the printed photos I have scanned. However, I think it has finally hit the recycle… -

Flare from specular highlights within or just outside of the frame; scatter from light hitting the filter… -

At the office today I was unable to connect to dgrin, my smugmug site or www.smugmug.com. I tried a couple of times over a few hours and didn't get anywhere.
