#41 Trying to step it up a bit!
First of all, I was confused on the deadline when I initially posted and then I got some great feedback on my "help me with the title tread", so I am trying to step it up a bit. I still have one more idea that I want to try, but I revisited the shots from my initial shoot and would like some feedback. I rec'd some great… -
WTF Happened?
I was helping a friend shoot a cheerleading competition last weekend, and something horrible went wrong. For the life of me I can not figure out why there is SOOOOO much noise in these photos. To view the photos in their original size and see the noise much better click HERE. I hope somebody can tell me where I went… -
Re: Keywords question
Resizing the browser window is just plain dumb. When you resize your browser you are pissing of those who are using browsers that support tabbed browsing. That means that you're pissing off up to 41% of your viewers. And that number is only going to go up as IE7 takes over for IE6. Choose a more suitable alternate… -

Hi all! So many awesome shots! Some of my favorites were unfortunately DQ'd, so if you had to face that this round, keep trying! There's a lot of talent amongst you all, and I really had a tough time narrowing it down. For this round, achambers and myself agreed on 5 images, leaving a total of 15 for you to make your… -

Lynn, looking for some of those $5 books
that you mentioned, say like Scott Kelby's Photoshop CS. Wanting Camera Raw, by someone else, and back to Scott Kelby, Photoshop Classic Effects, Photoshop CS Killer tips, and the down and dirty one. My findings are that one of those is about 17.00 plus shipping, the others are in the low 20s. That is not bad, but I am… -

Alstromera Still Life
Taken late last night/early morning while watching "Shutter" (a movie about a photographer) this is an Alstromera out of the bunch of flowers bought on Monday. I decided to compliment the reddish markings in the petals by using a red background (the plastic lid off the recycling container) and after tweaking the usual… -
Hover on Daisy
One of the few instances where I decided to use live view, the grass where thus daisy was growing was damp and kneeling down wet my jeans, so lying down was quickly ruled out! This hoverfly (it is I think either the Eupeodes latifasciatus or the Melascaeava cinctella was flitting around the daisies on the patch of greenery…
