Re: Strobes Direct vs Bounced
To give you an idea of my current setup... I'm not shooting like Mark with Einsteins.. I've thought about it, but at the moment I just can't justify the expense (especially paying off my 1Dx which is a priority!) Thing is though, you don't need a lot, you can pick up 2, Canon 540EZ flashes for under $50 ea, or Youngnou… -
Re: i need a new monitor
Where you use high end editing software that is color managed and are mostly doing your own printing to a wide gamut printer. If you use RAW files and extract out to AdobeRGB especially where you shoot a lot of colorful images, flowers, parrots, etc, you would likely be able to see a difference between viewing it on a wide… -
Re: stealing my photos please help
For sports and cheer do Viewstations at the event or sell CDS that are prepaid. No booking, no shoot. I don't think a sports shooter can afford to put pics on line… -

Although the entire country is beautiful, and peopled by the most wonderful residents, I would have to say the highlight of our trip was Perth and Fremantle. My wife and I traveled to Australia to visit my mother's sisters and brother, my aunties and uncles. As my mother had passed away, we wanted to pay our respects as… -
New toy and the story behind it
Recently, I've been wanting to get away from all the automation and other helpful features of modern cameras. One can, of course, simply turn most of it off, but as long as it's there, I tend to get lazy and start using it. So I started shooting with manual-focus lenses. Then I started favoring film over digital, partly… -
