Re: Some help on how to merge pictures in PS CS
If I recall correctly, merge to HDR is not available in CS (CS does not support 32bpc mode). If you use the DigitalGrin search feature you can find some previous topic threads on HDR. I prefer "exposure blending" which results in more natural images than most HDR+Tone Mapping methods. Some random links on the subject… -

Re: Tamron AF 28 -200 LD will work with Nikon 3100 ?
I believe that lens has only been offered in Nikon AF and AF-D mount, meaning that it requires a host Nikon camera with the Nikon screw-drive AF motor in order to autofocus. Additionally, if you have one of the very oldest versions I doubt that it has the "distance" chip, so that flash exposures will not be as well… -
Re: Floridian Neighbors
Thanks for the kind words folks. I am pretty lucky to have such a "backyard". :D I just wish there were no seawalls, houses, telephone wires, sheds, etc etc. It makes shooting a "natural" looking wildlife shot rather tricky. Too many good captures have been ruined with "baground junk". I really need to get out more often.… -

Re: Portable hard drives
My external hard drive, Maxtor, the one Sid recommended, it is almost full. It holds a bunch, 153 gb and only 9 gb of space left. I have a CD burner on the PC, just quit backing up which is stupid, I know, but it takes too long. I mean I shoot a bunch and a CD doesn't hold much. So, I bad, I quit. I know, I could lose it… -

Re: Correct Aperture
Hi Sam, I have just bought a B&W 10 stop filter using 7d and 24-105. I have listened and viewed several tutorials and they are all somewhat different. The method I use is I compose the shot in AV and then turn off AF and change to manual mode making sure the settings are the same as AV. I then carefully screw on the filter… -
