Re: Thoughts on Sigma 50-500mm for Soccer Baseball and Football
I believe that the Canon 70-200mm, f2.8L plus 1.4x TC has a slight edge over the Sigma 50-500mm (native) in the 280mm length when they are both wide open. Both benefit from stopping down and then the advantage is less clear. The Canon 70-200mm by itself, without the TC, will beat the Sigma 50-500mm at like focal lengths… -
Re: Another lens help question
Neither the Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED nor the Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR II are perfect, and the latter is considerably more expensive and somewhat more versatile. Honorable Mention: * GrandmaR (Rosalie-Ann) - As I said before, nice looking boat. It would have been nice if the top of the… -
Re: Convert GIF 89 to 87a ???
Looking at the content of a GIF, I see that the "GIF89a" is right in the very first bytes. You might try using a binary editor to change that to look like the earlier version. Or you might write (or pay someone to write) some code to make a utility to make the changes. I don't have a GIF87 to look at so I can only show you…
