Re: What flash should I buy?
Actually, the power advantage of the 580 is something just under 1 stop (guide numbers 141' for the 430 vs 190' for the 580). The real advantage of th 580EX II over the others is the quicker refresh rate and, to my mind, a better user interface. In addition, there's the abiltiy of the 580 to control other Canon compatible… -

This is the RESULTS thread for Round #141 of the Dgrin Mini-Challenge Thanks to everyone who submitted entries for this round of "trick/creative photography", I enjoyed every one of them, and this decision was not easy! Re: How's This One? Implied....
I cannot really add to what Cuban said... everything he said is exactly what you need to do to rework this.. I agree I love the idea and you are going places with it... I will add that the underwear are just fine, except that it looks like there are (2) underwear lines or straps there.. My suggestion Google maternity belly… -

Re: Show me the logos!
Ok I'm finally figuring this out! Ok so before I email the designer that did those other logos I decided to go through and find other logos i like to give her an idea and I think i found basically what i'm looking for in a design someone did for another photographer (the photographer did not choose this design so it's not… -
Re: I finally got it!!! Just wanted to tell people who are into cameras and stuff...
lol... yeah a 300/2.8L is an entirely different level of lens. You're talkin double the cost of a 100-400L which is already way up there. It takes a 2x converter nicely tho getting you 600/5.6... or 960mm on a 1.6 body!!!!! A nice option for little extra reach would be a 300/4 IS and a 1.4xTC... which would cover you to… -
Re: Super Computer Needed
While you don't mention the workflow particulars, I do recommend optimizing your workflow to maximize available RAM and HD resources. Do read this article on how important it is to use Adjustment Layers instead of traditional layers: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/photoshop-file-size/ Here is a very good… -
Problem uploading using API
I'm running some test code to upload to SmugMug, but for some reason, nothing ever shows up in my test gallery. Is there a processing delay, and I should just check back... tomorrow? From what I can see, I'm not getting an error code in the response, so... what's up? I seem to get a response_code of 200 no matter what I do… -
Re: Smugmug SLOOOOW (International Network Connectivity)
Smugmug is dead slow for me from Germany at the moment. Takes more than a minute for a user site to show up. Custom domains like mine and Andy's and the main page/ browse page are fine though! It's just the username.smugmug.com. I also noticed that my route to smugmug.com looks different. A couple of weeks ago I used to… -
