Help SmugMug make sales history CSVs better
Howdy Folks, I'm seeking feedback from the heavy number crunching spreadsheet dwellers out there... you know who you are. ;) Currently on the sales history page we offer a single "Download CSV" link that gives you a spreadsheet with info about every item you've sold through us.* Those of you familiar with that file know… -
Re: lens choice overload-350D
Angelica, I would seriously rethink your choice of Canon gear, given the fact that you already have a great lens with a Nikon mount. When I was trying to decide between Canon and Nikon (the 20d vs. the D70) I found that, despite the higher megapixel rate of the 20d, the actual images don't look noticabely different. It… -

Re: D300S: First impressions of a guy that doesn't know a lot.
You are right. Most everything is available on the D90 buttons in some combination or another. It wasn't bad at all. But a few had me going to the menu. Even with programing the FN button to be an AF area selector. For me it is easier and faster to do the switches on the D300s. The other nice thing is at a glance you see… -
Re: Sports Shooters Advice - Nikon D300 vs. D700
Mark, I didn't realize you were in Colorado. Parker is about 45 minutes from me. If you'd like to come to a game I shoot and see how I set things up, you'd be welcome to do so. You can e-mail me at smartin@donek.com or phone me at 303-261-0100. I don't have any experience with the sb-28s. The sb-800s have a very rapid… -

Re: first time posting with IR
IR shooting Hi there, quite new to this forum so still finding my way about - I use a Nikon D100 that was converted to Infrared by Advanced Camera Services in the UK. http://www.advancedcameraservices.co.uk/ Faux - false infrared in Photoshop is easily achieved by various free Photoshop Actions on the web. But I find they… -
Re: canon 5d question ff vs crop
Here is how I would call it: If on your 1.6 crop body much of your photography is at 200mm or longer you will be significantly happier sticking with the crop format. Getting the same reach on full frame is both much more expensive and heavier than it is in the crop format. If you mostly shoot with slow midrange zooms, you… -
Re: Issues, issues
Keep in mind that I don't have the 17-85L so never directly compared them to the Sigma lenses. I did try the Sigma 24-60 2.8 EX and 24-70 2.8 EX in Nikon mount looking for a smaller (than my 17-55 2.8 Nikon) walkaround zoom that would cover my most used range (35-50mm). The 24-70 had much lower contrast and sharpness shot… -
