Blending modes: Normal
[imgr][/imgr]Blending modes: Normal Tutorial by Nikolai. This mode is the first, default, and, as its name implies, is by far the most commonly used blending mode of all twenty two of them. Let's see how it works. First of all, as with all blending modes, you need to have at least two different layers (otherwise there is… -

T2i Initial Kit Suggestions
PAST EXPERIENCE: I don’t know much about the technical aspects of photography so forgive my ignorance. I’ve been doing some preliminary research on this forum, and many other sites, in the hopes of buying a dslr camera system. As a result of selling online since 1999 I’ve taken many thousands of photos of the merchandise… -

The first part of this story can be found here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=140589 My eyes came open at about 1:30pm that same day and my stomach commanded me to rise. I know I like to hear what people have to say about my photo so I just want to return the favor. I tend to lean towards photos that stir up some kind of emotion in me. However, that is very subjective and… -
Re: >>> SF4 - Feedback Thread
Here goes.... Comments/Critiques: #2 - Autumn Harvest - 3rd. Striking image. So sharp it cuts me. I'd love to see a behind the scenes for this. #3 - Unplugged - Very unusual composition. Interesting as a piece of art. One thing that bothers me is that the monitor should be facing the opposite direction in MHO. #4 - Susan… -
Re: macbook vs mb pro vs pc?
Photoshop CS4 uses the video chip for functions that speed things up, which would be a + for the MBP. IIRC it also uses faster hard disks, but I could be wrong. CPU wise, it's obviously faster... but PS is fast enough for most anything on any modern hardware. The software? It works the same on either OS. My experience with… -
Re: Portrait editing - always second guessing myself
So...does this help or make it worse? Hi Ann and Folks; Well, I’ve been lurking since I signed up for the board here, trying to get a feel for the people and the place. But I figured that it was about time to make a post, so I’ll throw in my $0.02 worth. Overall, I like the shot. But like mercphoto, I tend to like the…
