Re: Fast Action Focus
www.siphoto.com should be of some help. Sports Iilustrated's suggested settings (of which * focusing is one). Be sure to compare the settings with your manual so you become familiar with the changes. Something else that I think is paramount is that you understand Depth Of Field. Let's say you're using your trusty 300 f/2.8… -
Re: "Arrange Photos" not saving the arrangement
I was so pleased to read that the problem had been fixed - but so far my results are not promising. Today I uploaded and rearranged some photos in our Dubai album - which as I'd mentioned before was the only one of my recently created albums that had NOT experienced the rearranging problem - but I stepped away for a cup of… -
Re: And now...glass
Which Nikkor 80-200mm do you have? The TC-14E II is compatible only with the Nikkor 80-200mm, f2.8D IF-ED AF-S. The Nikon TC-14E II page has a compatibility chart: http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Camera-Lenses/2129/AF-S-Teleconverter-TC-14E-II.html If you have the Nikkor 80-200mm, f2.8D ED (current model,… -
Early Lomographic Attempt?
Hi Folks: In a silly mood here, but this is a picture I designed and took a long time ago when I was about 15. It was taken, if I recall correctly, with a fairly disposable camera -- that is, not my SRT-201 or anything better, as a series of quick in the moment snapshots. I scanned it a long time ago, and recently found it… -
BEANPOT- A college hockey tradition
The first two mondays in Febuary brings the BEANPOT College Hockey Tournment. I takes the 4 Division 1 College hockey teams that are in the city together for beanpot rights. The 3 schools are Harvard, Northeastern, Boston College and Boston University. The beanpot is just over 50 years old and Boston University OWNS it,… -
Re: Why is dynamic range limited?
Another wrinkle to throw into this mix is the way that compters actually display color. (This is directly related to the file formats that we all use.) We currently use 24 bit color. This means that there are 256 levels of each of the three primary colors (8 bits per color). This gives us over 16 million discrete colors.… -
Re: Calm
Indeed I am, Jo ... it's just a pity there's a few k miles between me and the OP (+ you), 'cos knowing he's got some fancy wide bodied printer, I'd be tempted to ask you to get him to print your post in, say ... 720 pt would do ... so's I could hang it on the wall somewhere to remind mrs pp (of her good fortune) when she… -
Re: Tough choices ahead...... Lenovo W540 vs Dell m3800
Looking at it, my laptop is an X201...... Even older. I got this thing to do some work on the road. I was going to be shooting dance recitals all over the west and I needed something that was small and powerful that had a long bat life. At the time my desktop was my main system. A funny thing happened. The more I got used…
