Too much Red Hue with a 5D Canon...
Hello... suddenly I don't know what is happening! I am getting too much red hue (Utah...) and also too much blue hue on for example gray cement or roads... I use the "K" setting, generally at 5200, more if shady. I do have a 18% gray cardboard to set "WB". I did. Actually wondering if I did it right as the cardboard was in… -
Re: Christmas Candids
One other comment in regard to Ziggy's questions. I processed these in RAW, using a neutral or white point in the image, to set the color temperature in ARC. I found a color temp of about 5200 K was about right. That is considerably warmer than flash by itself - Many flash manufacturers say they are about 5600 K, but… -
Re: SmugBrowser - Firefox/Flock Extension BETA
I get this javascript error dialog when trying to log in with a standard account (this one): http://www.majakorpi.net/photos/160915527-O.png My pro account works fine. Another thing, should it be possible to delete multiple galleries in one go with SmugBrowser? Like select all galleries in a category and delete them? I… -
Subjective WB Question
So...here are four variants of the same shot taken in overcast skies (what else do we have here in Oregon at this time of year?). Only difference in this the WB setting in LR. I've gone back and forth as to what I think subjectively looks best. Which do you prefer? Would also be interested in by the book methods as well...… -
Re: Did you notice the dog?
I agree completely about the blue. Opening the RAW file, the color temp is 5200. Moving that to warmer corrects the blue. The shot was taken a t 6:32 PM on a very sunny day with the sun to the girl's right (as we view her). White balance was Auto, but the camera was on shutter priority at 1/125th, ISO 200. That's what I… -
WTB: Casio EX-Z750 (or other P/S..)
I am looking for a Casio EX-Z750 to supplement my d-SLR for "everyday" shooting. (The other one here listed has sold.) This particular model is the main one I'm interested in, but I would also consider:* Nikon Coolpix 5200 * Canon Powershot A620 * Canon Powershot SD400/SD450 * Fuji E550/Fuji F10 Not interested in the… -
Question for Canon 5D owners ONLY...
I have already asked this with no pertinent reply. Maybe a 5D owner as I am will have the answer. Copy and paste from my previous thread. Hello... I don't know what is happening! I am getting too much red hue and also too much blue hue on for example gray cement or roads... I use the "K" setting, generally at 5200, more if… -
Re: Portraiture
Thanks, Awais Kelvin is just a number that is assigned to a color temperature. (Color that is associated with certain lighting conditions.) Daylight is between 5200 and 5600 kelvin, approximately. The SB800 is daylight balanced (tuned to) 5400 kelvin...in the middle of the color temperature range for daylight, which is… -
