Re: How to display folder and gallery descriptions in new Smugmug?
Ah, but the title will trail off if it's more than about 2 or 3 words. I have on average 2-3 sentences that used to appear in addition to the title, prior to opening the gallery. Used to be you'd see a list of your folders and a little description next to it, saying how many albums, how many photos, when it was last… -

Re: The crash of Speed Racer
Here's a link to original dng... Thanks for your input Scott... As for ERASING... I'm trying not to do that in my workflow... ( I hear it's a bad habit, albeit sometimes seemingly more efficient) My original plan was to keep the front end of the kart from being blurred as you mentioned but wanted to keep the road… -

AF Nikkor 80-200mm - Teleconverters
Thread aka "I already have enough gray hair and I'd like to keep it on my head, thank you." Today was the day to get a teleconverter for my new Nikon lens. With another trip to the U.P. pending the excitement in the air here at The Peaceable Kingdom was palpable. The store I wanted to buy it from didn't have it in stock so… -
Re: The case of the missing 20D
No idea. Just as stumped as everyone else. It still shows up at the Canadian and other country sites. A seach at the US site pulls up a hybrid page, but now lists September 2005 as debut date for the 20Da. But the picture shows a 20D, the title says 20D, and the blurb below is the same text as the 20D page used to be. So… -
Re: Huge question about copyrights in state AA sanctioned events
Overly ambitious lawyers. Just because someone says something belongs to them does not mean that it actually does or that they have any right to it. From the copyright act: Chapter 2 §201 · Ownership of copyright (a) Initial Ownership.—Copyright in a work protected under this title vests initially in the author or authors… -
Re: Show us your mug! Introduce yourself here.
De-Lurking, Be-Lurking Hi Folks: Just joined. I've been a lifelong enthusiast of photography. Started when I was in my early teens, taking pics with an old manual Minolta SRT-201 with a broken needle meter (which I still have although not in great shape). Since, then I've used various cameras, although there was also a… -
Re: Strange sky
Andy, Sometimes I talk too much and come across like a school teacher. I know I do , I just can't help it sometimes. But I like to share some secrets I have learned along the way. Galen Rowell's book "Inner Game of Outdoor Photography" really deserves reading and introspection. He describes the thinking processes and… -
Re: Client wants to "Modify" my Image...
Not so... I just found a legal document that states otherwise... here is the link. http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ40.pdf And this is the paragraph i refer to qouted from the document: "Moral Rights for Visual Artists For certain one-of-a-kind visual art and numbered limited editions of 200 or fewer copies, authors are…
