As a landscape photographer doing wide (3x1) panoramic photos I'm interested to know if SmugMug has any intensions of offering larger printing sizes in the near future? Ideally I'd like to offer my customers these sizes: 50 inches wide (127 cm x 42 cm) 60 inches wide (152 cm x 51 cm) 75 inches wide (190 cm x 63 cm) An… -
Salon Print Competition
I recently joined the local professional photographer's guild, and they're having a salon critique coming up next month...I'm trying to prepare my images right now and I was wondering if some of you might be able to give me some constructive criticism and feedback! A total of 6 images will be printed 16x20 and mounted on a… -
Re: Star*Explorer Thread
Smugmug had a couple minute outage today while I was near the end of a 127 photo upload. I saw SE gets some failures and do some retries. When SE finished, the result was that 4 images were left in the upload queue as unable to upload. After the Smugmug issue cleared, I hit upload to finish the upload queue. It seemed as… -

A day of system scrubbing Thanks for the reply Doc. Today I did some heavy duty scrubbing on their system. 1) Cleaned up all the junk on the desktop. Must have been 50 shortcuts on the desktop, all pointing to programs availble in the Start Menu. 2) Ran Disk Cleanup and deleted a BAZILLION temp files. Yeah that's more than… -
Re: Unofficial LPS 15 Feedback Thread
OK OK... Only YOU could get me to respond to this. I was just so worn out from yet another horse show weekend in which I couldn't go to bed on time, as I was watching my Red Sox into the wee hours.... So... soooo many entries to consider, very very low percentage of throwouts.. I had 35 in my initial pass. These 13 are my… -
Re: What's your story?
All about me. I started taking pictures back when Bob Gibson was the most intimidating man alive with a Kodak 127 reflex viewer brownie. In high school and college I shot for the school newspaper and yearbooks. My parents got me a Vivtar SLR for graduation. I used that camera till it died, replacing it in turn with a… -
Re: PC config for Photoshop performance?
Ordered a Dell 8400 on June 8 First, I want to thank everyone who has responded to this thread. It helped me discover new info and served as a good "sanity check" for what I was planning to do (too bad I don't have $2K+ for a nice Mac G5 system -- but that wouldn't run all my apps (yet)). I was delayed in posting back to… -
