Re: Does anyone know anything about Flickr?
Hi Dan, Earlier in this thread you pointed to a Flickr v SmugMug comparison I have made on my Flickr site and although not perhaps totally relevant to the OP, I have some other thoughts to add regarding this. 1) You mentioned compression / re-encoding of the images uploaded may be poorer on Flickr, but I think this… -
Re: 5D mk III back from CPS - some good/some bad
Thanks David. Can't believe you have dust spots too - what are they doing, building these in a factory with the windows open? Also, if anyone has a 70-200/4 IS, can you please confirm something for me? I had noticed that my zoom ring felt much looser when I got it back (no zoom creep, just really loose). However,… -
Independent Fabrication -- Manufacturing Bicycles in Somerville, MA
Lloyd Graves is tall, dusty blond, and has an incongruous Southern drawl, a leftover from a childhood in Mississippi. He founded and works for Independent Fabrication, a company that does something surprising: they build bicycle frames in metropolitan Boston. This might not have been surprising in 1920, but today making… -

When we travel, we like to travel light and we try to skip the more touristy of attractions. Case in point, after spending two days in Paris, we still… -
Re: Google Maps API Issue
You can make a map for every category "manually". It's basically making different maps and each one showing the photos of a certain category. You will still have to update the maps yourself each time you create a new gallery, but it should work no different. The 'map this' function you would loose, but you could put one… -
Re: Two new photo book printing places...
So after reading through this thread from the beginning and shopping around, I decided to print a few test runs before I need to create the actual client albums I have in my near future. I first began with Blurb. Their program is okay to use, and I really liked its connection with SmugMug because it made my images super… -
