Re: "insane" "new" Pro service coming?
Personally I don't have any doubts that people being hired to do the job, things are being worked on and bright things being on the horizon. My problem with this whole situation is the LACK OF COMMUNICATION ! Certainly not the lack of a quick response because I know for fact that Andy and a few others are always on top of… -

Yosemite Pride and Prejudice 09/06/11 - 09/16/11
Is it just me or has the Journey section just about died around here? Well I suppose it is time for another Yosemite Trip report. I'll just start from the beginning. Dave Arnett and I headed back into the valley for another session of climbing. This time with larger walls and bigger ambitions then Royal Arches. The ideas… -

MA 2.10 Part II. Shooting. 6. Tips. Figure Tips about exterior. Figure. Note: All these recommendations are for models. But I think that photographer MUST know them and use them in his practice. Re: Weddings
Hutch, I just went to your site and looked at the front page. Your photos did not suck, you worked with what you had and did a great job, IMO. I did not remember to look at the lighting, but it must have been fine. The couple to be married, they were great hams, you caught them in some very good shots. Perhaps the photog… -
Re: Google image search, only the first photos of each gallery are indexed, why?
@sdb, I gave it a try. I added a gallery last evening. This morning I did a fetch-as, got the gallery, then submit. Before, the page was not showing on a search specific to my site and time period. After still wasn't... it's been about two hours, no change. I also found recommendations that in the search tools you list… -
Re: Earthlings Through The Eyes Of A Wandering Biker
After a friendly adios to India, it was off to Nepal. Giddy with the Gods March 16, 2005 Chittawan Royale Park, Nepal Although news of escalating violence in Nepal was distressing, it was not deterring. Since trekking the Himalayas in 1981 before it became trendy, I have had subtle yearnings to return and rekindle fading… -
Re: Wedding Help!
If you can visit, try to do it at the same time of day the wedding will be held. Bring someone along that you can take test shots of. Have them wear a white top and black pants. This will help you get a good idea ahead of time as to what kind of settings you will need for your exposures. Try to shoot in full manual. You… -
Re: State of the art sharpening workflow?
Capture Sharpening is what ACR does - restores the sharpness lost due to digitization, and the blurring from the anti-aliasing screen in front of your sensor. (The anti-aliasing screen is there to minimize moire' by blurring the image on the sensor slightly) John, you sharpen your images with masks to precisely control…
