Re: Your best B&W Conversion
Steps Okay, here're the steps I followed. These faces were so compelling, I wanted to do something more than just adjust shadows and highlights. I admit that i read a bit more into the image than might have been there in the original; on the other hand, the original is so flat, it's just begging for a creative enhancement.… -
Re: ...im not dying for a photo
Certainly is mate..... Here is todays headlines...(this is quite normal for summer but in winter Funny bit is that our storms are very localised....where my wife works (3 miles as the crow flies) they had ice 2 feet deep & i saw none what-so-ever. I watched a 'super cell' build from 3pm & could not believe it would… -
Re: My custom domain is dead at the moment
I checked my site with urlm.co/www.southeasternphotography.com and got the following (didn't let me just copy the stuff I wanted)(shows me using the Akamai Servers): Southeasternphotography.com Go to site >> Southeasternphotography is ranked 4,534,420 in the United States. 'Southeastern Photography - © Troup Nightingale.'… -
Customization of Event Pages
Here is a script I was working on to adjust the event pages to my liking. It may be useful to others. Some of this was borrowed from: https://portal.photom.me/ and other pieces from @leftquark This should be placed in the all site css for this to take effect. This is what the mobile site looks like. /* SMUGMUG… -
How to calibrate without calibration hardware
I know I need calibration hardware, yet just do not have it yet. Before me, my computer, monitor and software DO have a million settings many of which I know nothing about (yet). I just acquired a new LCD and sent my CRT to the back room. With my fresh calibration print in hand (which looks a little yellow to me), I was… -
Re: White Points and Black Points...
Thanks Pathfinder, yes, any shot of importance would get the Photoshop curves treatment, white balance only goes so far and is for a single global light source. Critical areas of the image will still likely need to be massaged with global channel curves and or more selective means. We are in basic/general agreement… -
Re: Image Searches Never Find My Smugmug images. My other sites always get found.
Hi Denise, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> I apologize in advance for the length of this note, but I’ve tried to find the answers using the help guides and Dgrin but it’s either not there, buried deeply, or I’m just missing it. I added the bio box meta… -
Re: Carrying more equipment without looking like a tool
There is definitely a fine balance between finding ways to carry more gear, and simply shedding the weight altogether. If I had to shoot a wedding with just two spyder holster'd cameras and nothing else on my person, (aside from a coupe batteries in one pocket and all my memory cards in the other) ...here is what I'd do: *… -
Re: Hasselblad CFV-50c
From the first link in the above post: "The CFV-50c comes with a cutting edge CMOS sensor (just like its H5D-50c sibling) offering photographers outstanding performance at all ISO settings. Now dedicated V System users – even those with cameras going back as far as 1957 – have access to the very latest imaging technology… -
Re: "we've hidden your galleries"
Unlisted would work for your purposes. You don't have to move anything. You would have to mark all galleries that you don't want the public to be able to browse to as unlisted (change one option in the customize gallery screen for each unlisted gallery). Unlisted galleries can still be accessed by anyone that you give a…
