New York - 15mins of Fame
I'm baaack.. exhausted and hungover..(all their fault). We stayed at the Milford Plaza in Time Square.. great place, can recommend it, except for the view from my window see here. Our friends view however was nice. Went all over.. but trying to take photographs with other people in tow is IMPOSSIBLE.. you get left in… -
Help with a kit for a Nikon D7000
I just switched to Nikon from Sony and am having a hard time figuring out what lenses to get for my D7000. On the Sony I used a CZ 16-80 (90% of the time), the Minolta 70-210 (3% of the time), and the Minolta 35mm f/1.8 (7% of the time). The only thing I felt I was missing from my kit was the wide range (10-20mm), which I… -
Re: Gymnastics: Canon vs. Nikon; your choice?
Great suggestions. A week or so ago, I did price renting from www.lensrentals.com and it was something like $125 for the body and $109 for the 70-200 f2.8 zoom. I thought that was sort of cost prohibative. I've been bouncing back and forth between the Canon 40d and the Nikon D80 until Keith(Beetle8) threw down the gauntlet… -
Re: Need advice on breaking out of Craigslist marketing.
Thanks AugDog. That all sounds like more good advice. I've been trying to make FB work for me, but so far, nothing. I have something like 109 "fans" , or likes, but they are qiuet, and I can't get them to engage in activity. I think once I do, things will break out a lot there. I guess there is a thing with FB where you… -

Re: Rant about HDR
You will find many folks who agree with your thesis, but I am not a among them. I propose that your complaint is with poorly created HDRs, not the technique itself. If you look carefully, HDR images are being published in newspapers, magazines, company reports every month all across the country. I am not asserting that… -
Re: Suggestion for travel lens
Thanks for the suggestion Ziggy. I appreciate the quick response. I had considered the 55-200 a few years ago but since I use the telephoto for fewer than 10% of my shots I decided that I would just keep what I have. However those years have made a big difference in what I can tolerate carrying. So, I will probably give… -

uploading alphanumerically = BAD! Please fix
I searched around and got a few answers, but none of them solved the issue or answered my question in it entirety. When I export client photos I export as: Client-1, Client-2, etc... to keep things simple and in order. Issue I am having: When I select a folder to upload it orders the photos as: Client-1, Client-10,…
