Gallery ordered by date modified, photos are not in order
I'm baffled. I have my galleries sorted by date modified, and until this afternoon that has been fine. But now photos are showing in somewhat random sequence when the style is set to smugmug. The order is correct in other gallery styles (I tried all thumbs, and journal). At first I assumed it was a browser problem (no,… -
The Fly Floor
I work for one of the oldest continually operated theatres in the country. Our Fly system, used to hoist the curtians, scenery and lighting is of the old school variety called a "hemp" or "rope and sandbag" system, or actually in our case, synthetic ropes. The sand is still real :D There's over 3 miles of rope in the whole… -
New Photo Info's Date Taken is Wrong EXIF Metadata
I've noticed that you've changed the Info feature. For the most part, the changes are an improvement. However, randomly checking the new Photo Info feature on a few of my images reveals that it is not reading the correct EXIF metadata for the Date Taken. My photos are scans of film from before EXIF metadata existed. I… -
Harvestman on a housebrick (Phalangium opilio)

Although it looks like a long-legged spider, it isn’t one. It is one of the Opilones, a group of arachnids closely related to spiders. Unlike the spiders,… -

I ran a (very) quick test using my 100 macro (original, non usm) and kenko tubes + 1Dm3 Figures below are: extension / subject width on frame / min working distance (didn't bother with max wd) (working distance being from front of lens barrel to subject - distance from subject to sensor plane for lens only being 304mm) Set… -

Re: What kind of bird of prey??
Thanks Jeff. Yes, Swainson's are resident here. Here is a description (unfortunately, my metric doesn't extend to measuring in cms...): [FONT=arial, helvetica] Description: A very common hawk on the Alberta prairies, the Swainson's Hawk is charaterised by a dark "bib" and dark flight feathers. Re: Hey Google...
Richard, if you go to the one without the x, and click on the link on the right "How to use this template" you are taken to http://www.maskolis.com/2012/05/johny-blackstore-template-toko-online.html. So the one without the X is just a demo for an online store/shopping cart. If you do a whois on maskolis.com you get this…
