I've just been reviewing the thread from start to finish, its going to be a tough vote...there's some fantastic shots!!
I've only managed to narrow it down to about a dozen so farne_nau.gif and there's still a day to go

    Great assignment.. I've enjoyed it!!

Is there anyway that the assignments (once completed) could be transferred into a smugmug gallery??

What a G-R-E-A-T & F-U-N idea for a Gallery! A place to be shown among our peers. I Like It!

I agree, great idea Gubbs. At least a place to show the medalists from each week.

Damonff, once again some super shots. And Mr. Cabesa, those roof tiles and your last shot are great. What an excellent selection of submissions this week. Nice work, folks!

Damonff, I really like your submissions. There are some nice shots from Bejing in the ride report section of ADVRider that have been posted in the last 24 hours. It's nice to get a look inside China, really appreciate it.

Yeah, there are so many misconceptions about China. I like sending the real place back without all of the politics that usually go with Chinese stuff. It's really a beautiful place.

I straightened out the church a little, it was really leaning, but there is still a slight curve in it.

Ireland is a beautiful country, I need to go back there again. Here are some of the other photos if you are interested. Ireland

Ireland is one of those places I have always wanted to go to, but never made it to. So I envy you for all the beauty you must have seen.

Very nice job on the "old homestead." Really quite nicely done. But of course, since I haven't read your bio yet... You may be about to put most of us to shame!

I concur with Eric, nice composition, balance of light, nice detail in the shadows, but I'm not too distracted by the small branch in this particular image. Love to see more.

    Again,
    Welcome.

Went out with the new Rebel 2000 I just bought and My A80. These are all unedited done with the canon A80. This is one of the ornate churchs in the area. I love the color I got at this time of the day. Everything was shot around 8PM EST.

Maybe it would help if each person who has multiple entries were to choose one or at most two and let Fish know that those are the ones to be reviewed and rated. Then when Fish puts together the list of entries, the number will be more manageable.

St.Lukes Church, circa 1632 - Pocahontas - Twin Memories -Twelve Disciples - Solitude
St. Luke's Church, Isle of Wight County, VA circa 1632
    4018822-L.jpg

Took a couple of hours this afternoon on my way back from a Dr.'s appointment, and stopped at a couple of local spots I love. These are St. Lukes Church, in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. It is deemed to be the earliest Church of England in the United States, dating back to at least 1632. A simple structure. Yet really beautiful in it's simplicity.

The window dedicated to the Baptism of Pocahontas, who attended here.

"Twin Memories" two stained window dedications

    "View from the Balcony"

"Solitude" a study of light filtering in from the windows in mid-afternoon. (No enhancement or adjustments.)
