OK if you click on the little arrow on main page to "go to last post" (in any thread) if it's a thread thats been active after the upgrade it takes you to said last post in thread...

If it's a thread that hasn't had a new post since the upgrade its gives you the attached error message...

UPDATE - 4/30 8 am pst: Problem is still happening - out of the 7 threads on dgrin front page that the last post was on 4/29 if you click on all of them only 2 actually go to the last post the others still return error message (see attached)

I'm not even seeing this error message. I just does not go to the last unread post. Only #1.

There are styles and templates that are still being updated and what many of you are seeing with respect to weird behavior is related to changes that are in the works.

We're working to get these (and other things) resolved ASAP. Thanks for your patience!

Hmm...it took me a while to find the arrow you are talking about--guess I never used that feature before. But yes, if there has been no post after the upgrade, I see the same error message. Not sure how important it is, as it will correct itself over time as threads either get new posts or die. ne_nau.gif

heads up, people on older versions of Firefox may experience this issue:

    852342758_SNjDq-L.jpg
    I also couldn't send PMs

Text fields were rendered inactive, even though you could still type in them

Were you working on a session that was started before the upgrade occurred? Try logging in afresh.

I have restarted the browser, cleared cache, relogged in.
No other browser seemed to have that issue, though.

vBulletin is like the antithesis of what SmugMug is. They've gone from one of the most amazing companies to one that only cares about its shareholders. They released 4.0 too early, changed pricing with *no* warning (causing some people to double-pay for the same thing), etc..

Invision Power, on the other hand, actually seems to care about their users.
If I had a site like SM that didn't have any plugins that the community was dependent on, I would've switched to IPB. The vbulletin product is now behind the times and the management is absolutely terrible. I believe their product won't make it to a version 5. A lot of people will be jumping ship to IPB. It would be nice to see someone extend the 3.8x series via a new company or venture.

One thing I've noticed is that quick-reply is disabled. It's a nice feature for users. Admincp-->vb options-->Message Posting and Editing Options.

    I'd also enable multi-quote while you're there.thumb.gif

Hmm...headscratch.gif. It seems to working normally for me, that is, it takes me to the first post that I haven't read. If it's a thread I never looked at, it goes to the first post, but that's the way it's supposed to work. ne_nau.gif

This was fixed by a tool that was running in the background. Probably finished fixing all of the threads around 3am PDT. Thus the magical "fix".

I recognise what it is! I actually see the same thing briefly while previewing a post, but I can't intercept it to get a screenshot.

    Guys, we did an upgrade.
Clear your cookies for Dgrin and re-login.

    All will/should be fine.

Every time I tried to post tonight I got that "Message too short" thingy, and the Insert Image
    link wouldn't open. I went to My Profile>Edit Options>Miscellaneous Options>Message Editor
Interface and changed it from "Enhanced Interface" to "Standard Editor" and all problems went
away. As far as I know, I've always used the Standard Editor setting.

I would like to use an interface that allows me to easily set the line length (don't like those wide lines of type like this one), but can't figure out how. I do it manually in Standard Editor.

When I try to delete my subscription to a thread, I get the following error:

"Your submission could not be processed because the token has expired.

Please push the back button and reload the previous window."

Pushing the back button and reloading makes no difference, however.

I'm using Firefox 3.6.3 on Linux.

Update: Of course, as soon as I post this complaint, the problem goes away... Holding down the shift key while reloading the page may have something to do with it.

In general, if you're having a problem, a fresh reload is a great thing to try!

Smug Heros have been looking into this for
me. Yet problem still exist. They have been awesome
    by the way.
Posting here to see if others had similar problems.
After update went to site and had to log in. Before
stayed logged in on all computers owned. Logged in
and it takes 20 seconds plus to load site. Same for
all browsers. Have tried all fixes to date with no
improvement. Ideas appreciated. All was fine until
update and problem is specific to DGRIN. Smug fine.
    Thanks for your time.

    You can do that today...just do < strike > < / strike > . Obviously, no spaces.
