Well, I got some shitty news. The body shop called today and says the frame is bent :cry

Not sure what this means yet.

Oh no! Definitely not good news :( Hopefully it's repairable! I know a lot of the time, depending on how much is left to pay off the vehicle a bent frame can mean that the vehicle is totaled. If that happens you can obviously always buy it back (if you don't own it outright already). Any chance the shop got pictures of how bad the frame is bent and where exactly it is bent?

It's 2 years old and mine. Not sure where the frame is bent but I was planning on wandering down there to see what's what. According to the shop, they have submitted the new claim and are waiting to hear back (probably Monday or Tuesday depending on how you define 48 hours :D). It would suck if it were totaled.
I mean don't get me wrong--it would suck if they fixed it too. Only the suckage doesn't come until I want to sell it.

Glad you got it back, they can fix quite a bit more than they use to be able to fix, and do it right. Checked out the article too. thumb.gif

I was supposed to go wheeling next Saturday, it's a Toys-4-Tots run @ the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica Indiana. I was kind of hoping for snow, but it don't look like that will be happening, nor will the trip. Other stuff has popped up that needs to be taken care of.

    Riding that crack was awesome.

I need to get back out on the trails, it's been too long.

My front springs have sagged a bit since installing my winch / bumper, so I ordered some Rokmen 1" billet spacers to level it back out. Once they're installed I'll have to go try them out on the trail.

It is one of my favorite trails for sure. Definitely tests your setup.

The winch/bumper combo takes a toll on the front end suspension lol3.gif

Figured it would when I got it, that's one of the reasons I went with synthetic line. It'll all be good in the end, you know after I get some new high line fenders, bigger tires, beefier control arms, re-gear........mwink.gif

Try some of the Jeep forums. AZ, CA, CO, and UT have large offroad communities so you should be able to find someone I would think. Craigslist would be my first suggestion (if you haven't already). Jeeps are popular so I would think you would be able to find someone who would want it.

it's in the garage... :) Waiting for the spring to actually come, and it is going to be installed.
so far, i'm sticking with the basics - audio, motor, slight exterior changes.
nerf bars are also pending install.

I went off road today.....ok, it's an old dirt road, which usually has some mud holes on it. I just finished swapping out the stock control arms for some Rokmen adjustable control arms, and I chucked the stock tie rod and drag link for a heavy duty Currie set up, figured I'd go out and make sure things were working....and grab a shot for the DSS Challenge while I was at it.

I'm going to go do some actual wheeling on April 1st @ The Badlands Off Road Park in Attica Indiana.
