I meant to ask. What is Kevin running for shocks? Are they ORI struts? I just saw some of those bad boys in a SAS conversion. Sure makes life a lot easier.

Yep, ORI's. He has a 4BT Cummins Turbo Diesel, 14 bolt rear, D60 up front, ARB's front and rear, suck down winches front and rear, Raceline beadlockers....and all kinds of other trick little do-dads. He built it all himself over a period of 18 months.
Man it's been forever since I posted on here. We went out to Johnson Valley in California back in the beginning of April. Here's some of the highlights from that weekend:
And since it's summer...the truck is under the knife for the gagillionth time to make all those things happen. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow of it's current state.

Nice. Someday I'll make it out there.
I haven't been wheeling again since I got back from Moab......I look outside, see Illinois and say what's the point?

Mods continued this week with a new set of sliders. Real ones this time and not the bendy steps.
OBTW, the Taco guys are staying at Area BFE.
It was an awesome trip....absolutely awesome. Every wheeler should go there at some point.
More mods are always good......
Yes!
Baby Lion's Back?
We saw a few rentals, at a local "yard", that had seen better days.
If you're buying a used JK Rubi these days, you better make darn sure it was a rental in Moab. :giggle

It was! So much fun that my husband decided after seeing the buggies that we needed to:
1) shorten our wheelbase
2) lose weight
3) convert to manual

I did manage to get out in the Jeep last night and take a few sunset pics.
Today it's 64 degrees out, so I had to actually put on a sweatshirt, since I refused to put the top back on.....I mean, it's July!
Have you taken them yet? I haven't been wheeling in forever....need to get my fix.
Next weekend.
That it is...but it's so much fun.
Me too.
I decided I needed one of my Jeep too.
Plans are in the works for Colorado August 2014: Black Bear Pass and more.
