Just thought I would pass along something I recently tried with my own Facebook page which increased my fan base by almost 400 fans in one week. I also have several bookings from this as well...previously my Facebook page had not generated any "new" business.
I held a contest for my clients who had their portraits done during the summer months. The winner received a free portrait session (value of $95) to them) along with a print of their entry collage (value $45 to them). You can see all of the details on my FB page which is listed in my signature below. I have tried many ways to tap into the magic of FB as a marketing tool and finally found it. This is hands down the best advertising I've ever done and I'm already planning additional contests. My clients LOVED it and really got into it!

I must be dumber than a rock, but I can't find any mention of a contest on your FB page. I'd love to see it so I can tell if it might be something I want to try to replicate.
Ive seen some facebook fan pages require you to become a fan or like them before you can see content on a special tab. I was thinking of offering free wallpapers to my fans, but force them to become fans first, which may help me increase my numbers.
I wanted to sat I liked each and every one of you.I didnt press the like button on youre pages I wanted to say so here.I have spent several days looking at youre work.And I must say you ALL got game.I dont have a professional face book page just my page with what I call snapshots,My work is soooooo unprofessional.Thanks for sharing each and everyone of you:)
EDIT.....I noticed there were some that wanted to be liked but had no links to your FB fan page.....some I was able to chase down....some i could not......so upto this point I am now done.....until the new wave of posts are in.......

I have a regular profile for myself and a fan page. So far I have uploaded to my regular profile, but am not sure how the option works to get it on my fan page. Also, I see there is a way to have a FB tab on my fan page for Smugmug, but I am having issues figuring this all out. Can I just link my photos that are already on my Smugmug page to appear on my fan page??? Seems like a lot of uploading!!! Thanks! I have gone through and 'liked' a lot of you here! Nice work!

A company called TABFUSION makes apps to add your PUBLIC SM galleries to your facebook fan page....there are lots of others apps to play with also it also adds a tab to the FB fan page.............using the TabFusion Tab will load all your public galleries to your FB fan page....that is its only drawback I have found.....
