Why are people watermarking the images they enter in this game? Can't you just post a small sized one without watermark? Some of the larger watermarks to me distract too much from the underlying image, and for me it takes away some of the fun. But perhaps that's just cranky old me? ne_nau.gif

People is supposed to be me, I think. :D
You are not that old. Or may be you are as old as I am and then, this fact will make two of us. rolleyes1.gif

I watermark my pictures because without it they are very easy to steal and use without my permission.
Photos of the bullfighter and others photos I will shoot for this project are important to me.

I understand that they are not so pleasant to look at.
    I am sorry.:D

And I can't modify the watermark just for this thread. :D
Anyway, I will make it less visible than it is.
I hope the photos will be better and more pleasant to look at.

Yes, also you. Since you're an active participant, I can see why you think it was mainly you. ;) But it was targeted at others as well.

My issue with it is this: a large watermark in images enables you to show a proof of an image to someone, so that he can decide whether or not he actually wants that picture, without that person being able to steal the image. I can understand that.

But this thread in my opinion should not be about proofs of images, but about the images themselves. As I said, the large watermarks distract me a lot from the quality of the image shown, and for me that takes the fun out of the association. But I can not rule out that this is just me. :)

    Marlof, good morning.
May be you are right. ne_nau.gif

There never was anything wrong with your images to begin with. You have tons of high quality image. I still don't like the current presentation of those excellent images, since it seems to me almost as if I'm looking through a viewfinder with some sort of copyright grid. But even with my remarks, I'd prefer you to keep on posting images in this thread, if you feel that watermark is necessary to protect your rights.

I will make my watermark more soft, not so strong, as I understand and share your point of view.:D
About the quality of my pictures: yes, I have to agree that I do have some good ones and some very poor. Specialy those with some "age".mwink.gif
Marlof, One thing I know, and that is that I know nothing at all.:D
    Cheers ...:D

From the logos, Tusker and Pilsner, I'm assuming this was taken in Kenya, whereabouts? I live in Nairobi for 2 years.

Enlarge this image super large and signs on the left hand store for the 'Gender Equity Bar', the 'Gender Equity Bar and Lodgings' and the 'Gender Equity Bar and Butchery' are revealed.

Now that's what I call diversified business! 'Baada ya Kazi' I say! :D

    Outrageous!
    Richard,

Besides the obvious that this is an orange, what is this image? A composite or shot of a sculpture? headscratch.gif

Yup, it's from Kenya. It's taken from a moving vehicle, in between Aberdare NP and Samburu, in 2001.
