clap.gifwings.gif that's my hometown! I love that place! It's taken pretty much as downtown as can be; the first building on the right is city hall, the one on the left is both a bookstore and the library. That building right in front (winkel van sinkel) has some huge statues as pillars.
The city is famous for its canals, which are well below street-level. One of them is between the bookstore and the 'winkel van sinkel' and continues under the street on the left side of where this shot was taken.

I got a great kick out of seeing this image form Mechanics Hall near where I live, following one of my images!

    You're welcome, Don!

Ah, Mechanics Hall (one of Worcester's best kept secrets! :D ) I thought you might get a kick out of that one (the the draw-knobs were the connection! :D )

Here is the gallery of the event (all taken from my seat in the balcony above the stage; no flash nor moving around (I didn't want to disturb the rest of the audience).

BTW: Loved your picture of Myanna; I've done sound for "The Love Dogs" I don't know how many times, and I always enjoy their shows - they are all just fabulous musicians, and Myanna blows a pretty mean horn herself! thumb.gif …so was your picture of her with the "Dogs" or with her own band?

Myanna was with the 'Dogs'! She is one 'Saxy Lady', and I've told her so! That was at Jazz @ Sunset, EcoTarium in '04. More at Musicians & Singers.

I'm told those two were taken two years apart (2006; 2008). Yet only about 20 feet apart. I almost posted one that looked 99% identical to Richard's, but then thought one 96% identical would suffice, you know, so it was "associated."

My story is I was going for a similar theme in the sky. That was it. The sky. rolleyes1.gif

    bowdown.gif Webster :D

This is the merge of two or three photos and it has been done for a long time now.
It was shot in Borneo, Malaysia, when a mist suddenly came involving everybody.
The mist is not very apparent here as I didn't know how to do it at the time. Today, I suppose I would do a better treatment to the original file using LR.

I think that the image lacks brightness it would be better if more brilliant, enhanced, contrasted. rolleyes1.gif
    Just some thoughts about it.

I'd like to see more of this building!!!
    747555857_w5hB7-X3.jpg

WOW!!! The framing and crop of this photo are PERFECT. Awesome symmetry, beautiful, creamy colors. My only nit at all is the small hot spot at the top of the center "dome". Also cool that three of the sets of windows show white light and the other blue. I wonder what's causing that? What a beautiful shot.

Thanks. I spent about 20 minutes flat on my back to get into precisely the correct position to ensure exact geometry. I then cropped to square.

The way I took the shot, I couldn't bracket - something had to 'give'!

It's caused by a variation across the sky outside. At first it annoyed me. However I grew to accept it, and now feel it actually adds a slightly quirky element to an-otherwise unemotional image.

I have an easier way to get my shots of the roofs.
On the 5D I have set the custom dialed for the timer with Aperture priority and low ISO I suppose.
I place the camera on the ground, I press the shutter and wait.
    Corrections ? CS#
