I read long time ago in a photography book about how cool is to take pictures of numbers - that's why I repeated the request
I tried my self for a little while, and indeed it was very cool - now I don't know where those photos are ( I only found one), but I found instead a link to those kind of photos - if you are curious, just take a look
btw, thanks for the numbers link, more good ideas there, although I have more then plenty on my hard-drive already. My problem was not to find a shot, but to select one from the umpteen possibilities.

This is the art museum in Ottawa - never thought of it as a green house possibility....
@ sarasphotos: Hi Sara, I like all the pictures of Fontevraux you're sprinkling in the challenge threads. We visited there this summer on a beautiful day and your picture reminds me I need to PP some more shots from our visit. It was a magical place with lots to see and learn. So thanks for reminding me to go back to this sleepy zone on my hard drive
I've taken three different bike tours to the Loire Valley and on two of them visited Fontevraud - and of course took tons of pictures both times. Like you found it a magical place - I look forward to seeing a few more of your pictures!
Tatiana, I'm surprised you haven't been to the Loire - you have so many (great!) pictures from everywhere!
The entire Loire region is one of the best-organized touristic areas I've visited. Tons of interesting chateaux, gardens and charming towns and for the cyclist, hundreds of kilometers of well-marked cycling routes - and of course the food is not shabby, either. And somehow in spite of the huge amount of tourism I haven't found it to be too too over-commercialized and haven't had the "tourist-trap" feeling in excess.
If anyone's interested, here is a link to my bike tours page where the three Loire galleries are located.
BTW: I tried to see your galleries before but they were private with a pass needed - I'll go again to the link you gave.
Oh, you must have somehow clicked on on one of my "Private Galleries" - that area's where I dump everything including pictures of people (family and friends) which I exclude in all of my place- or event-oriented smart (public) galleries.
If this link doesn't work please let me know! It would be dumb of all of my pictures were password protected!

This works - it's under Public Galleries - wow, very nice!
Pegelli - my favorite treat in Belgium - and my biggest downfall!! thanks for posting and reminding me of glorious double-fried Belgium French fries! Great shot too! (from post in Alphabetic Challenge - Vlaamse Friet))

Thanks Jo, it's actually a Flemish franchise in the city of Utrecht (Netherlands). But I agree, Frites in Belgium are the best, whoever called them "French Fries" didn't get it.
Hi Denise, thanks for the kind words - I thought you as biker might appreciate this one.
Five years ago a girlfriend and I rode the length of the Canal de la Garonne/Canal du Midi from Bordeaux to Sète. Although the entire length is no longer tree-lined (sadly, the trees are dying) there are many of these beautiful stetches left and sometimes it seemed like we stopped every 5 minutes for a picture :-). What was unusual about this particular area was the double row of trees along the bike (former tow) path matched by another row of trees on the other side of the canal.

I'm surprised too - too many places to go, I guess
- I went very little in France actually, and in Paris (1991) I didn't have a digital camera and have nothing left

Right - mea culpa. I changed to weathered (texture or shape) - which is what I meant - does it sound better?

This is wonderful. The trees are majestic and the cyclist adds a sense of scale. I love it!

Hi Pieter, I had to laugh - I have almost this same photo. Unfortunately mine was taken from a moving car so it's not so great.
Cheers, Sara
We had our lunch break there on our way to Andorra two years ago.
