I LOVE it! How did you get so many photos on the homepage - mine is similar but locked at 20...
instead of choosing 20 individual images there is an option to pull from a gallery, when I changed that option it added the "load more" button.

    My new Smug site.
I am having some issues with missing photos from the main page. Random images come up blank from time to time. I would love some feedback from others to see if you experience the same issue when viewing my site.

    Thanks!

I think I have to say something about that dog on the home page... is up for a relocate to Wales? :D

Nice site, very clean and fresh looking. I'm not sure about listing all the camera gear under info. You rightly make the point that top equipment is important and that you use it, but how many potential customers will identify with a detailed list? I think I'd just say I used top Canon equipment.

    My new SmugMug site
I transitioned my old site to the new format, it went very smooth. The new format is east to work with, much better then the old site. I went with a simple site design with two slide shows and a navbar at the the top. I added some CSS (with a little help) to the slide show to round off the corners a bit. My site is just to share photos with friends and family. Overall I am very pleased with the new format.

I'm not sure why, but I'm seeing all the text on your site cut off, so I can see the top half of letters but not the bottom. This includes the menu bar on the left, and the (European) cookies warning at the top.

And e.g. each line of your 'about me' desc is also only showing the top half of letters.

    Windows Vista, Chrome, laptop

Thanks for the info, I am not having that issue at all, on my end. I will investigate it, though I am not sure how to correct it.... If anyone else is having this problem, is seeing it on my site, or knows how to correct it, please let me know.

The problem might be Google Chrome because I am seeing the same issue. When I run IE though, the site renders perfectly.

You have a nice looking site!!! I'll take it as a reference for customizing mine.

Thanks Juan! Your site is awesome as well! I noticed your signature logo isn't being responsive on mobile though. It's too big of a logo...

I have spent the last 3 days off & on working with the new Smugmug. I still haven't figured out how to have "my logo" instead of Smugmugs smiley face next to the www.zone8photography.com. I had originally traded photography work for web design and someone else set it up for me. I have managed to get my site up and running by myself and over all I am pretty satisfied with it. Another feature I would like to change is the navigation drop down menu. It doesn't match for some reason. Any suggestions on my site is appreciated. http://www.zone8photography.com

Jeff, You have no idea how happy that site makes me. For one, you were thinking outside the box and created something beautiful! Also, I love that you showcase the business and services first and the photography and video second. Bravo! I sent it off to the entire company I was so impressed. thumb.gif

    Thanks!

Oh wow that great to hear. I'm glad you like it and yes SmugMug can be used for more than just purely photography ;-)

hmmm. Trying IE8 on the laptop, I get the same chopped off letters.

    Some other configurations:

Desktop, Windows 7, Chrome v28 - same problem.
    Desktop, Windows 7, IE10 - works correctly
Desktop, Win 7, Firefox 22 - works correctly.

So Chrome and old versions of IE?

Still playing with my site .. no end in sight for that since it's turned out to be fun. But at this point it's far better than my previous site and took a lot less time to create.

Thank you for letting me know and taking the time to try out different browsers/OS. I am currently on vacation and don't have access to windows machine. I have tried every browser on a mac (firefox, chrome, opera, and safari) all work fine?

I have no idea how to fix the issue though? ne_nau.gif I am using all standard settings. I will keep digging...

I've been having a pretty good time refreshing my site. Still tweaking it to make it look half-way decent, but overall, the transition went smoothly. I've been with SmugMug for over 10 years, so this change was pretty MAJOR!! Well done guys!clap.gif Now I just need to remake my watermark, since the last one I had was a bit crappy. It's a work in progress, but I'm sure I will be making changes more frequently now that everything is a little more exciting rolleyes1.gif.
