None of the icons in the edit window work
Firefox-1.5/OS X

Click on the "Insert Link" or "Insert Image" icon and nothing happens. Same for "bold", &etc.

But you guys must know this.

Looks like it will have some nice features when it's all done, though. Undo/redo in basic mode, for example.
If not now, when?

Uh, any of them. Safari 2, standard editing.

None of the formatting palette works, none of the smilies on the right, "more" doesn't work just beneath those...

I could choose a post icon, though...

Locations are now are our dream goodies. OOps! I should just type in something like "living in paradise" and take care of both at the same time.

Maybe it works for administrators but not for others? If I put my mouse on top of the the "Insert Link" icon, the one that looks like a letter, and click, NOTHING happens. The mouse pointer doesn't change shape. But if I hover, I do get a help message. This is true of all the icons. ALso I can't change edit modes by clicking on the edit mode button.

Html
You guys might consider this a bug.

It says HTML code is on.

And indeed it does seem to be on. I hope you leave it on, but I'm guessing you won't.

It works for me now. I had to really clear the cookies from the firefox preferences menu command and restart firefox. I think I also cleared the cache. One great bug fix: back and forward no longer loose the a post being composed in WYSIWYG mode!

Is the original poster of a thread supposed to be able to delete it? What if no one else has replied to it yet?

In any case, no can do now.

Rutt, if you are referring to the HTML thread/post, I just tried to move it into here, but I couldn't (probably 'cause I don't know how yet). ne_nau.gif

Posting seems to have changed in the last 12 hours. I had to insert a bit of html to get a line break--just a return character used to do the trick. The [more] smilies link does not open the smilies window. Changed, but not a problem: the text entry area used to be black background, white text; it is now white background and black text. FYI.

Not turned on in every forum, for example it's off in the "People" forum. But it is turned on in this forum.

HTML code is / should be turned off for all forums. Please let me know if you find otherwise <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" >

Hi rs, a lot of this is style- and browser- dependent it seems. I'm able to post, use all the post-creation/editing icons in Firefox no problem. I got the smilies box, too. Please logoff dgrin, clear your cookies for dgrin, and re-start your browser.
