Thanks Denise. I was sitting at Disney World and was waiting for night to fall by where they do the firework show. Got loads of great pictures as the sun was setting and the birds were active in the water.

The polar bear sculpture is a landmark referring to Kalaallit Nunaat or Greenland that is an autonomous part of Denmark. I guess that positioning in Copenhagen Harbour next to the ocean has something to do with the fact that both Denmark and Kalaallit Nunaat is surrounded by water and the main connection between Kalaallit Nunaat and Denmark was for many years shipping from Copenhagen. The positioning also - when winter is coming - gives the bear the pleasure of some ice . During WW II a German soldier shot the bear in the head. He was returned to Germany (and may be transferred to a battlefront. That would have been a punishment because the German soldiers had favourable conditions in Denmark. There was no fronts and they lived on a sweet spot - relatively).
