    Boston works for me. :D

Although, I suspect that there will be 2 groupings of people from the NE... Boston and NYC. Funny how that works. mwink.gif

I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

Or Ohio? (Would that fall here, or Midwest? I always get confused on that...)

I´m always down for a meetup in NYC. If you want to shoot some good stuff on the Hoboken-Jersey City side of the river, let me know.

well just got done shooting with Rich (LeDude) and it was a resounding sucess. our stomachs(and CF cards) are full and our feet are sore:D . now i think we're gonna be staying in Newark, NJ and then just probably catching a Taxi or train to go into NYC. probably the 11/12th? will update when i get more info.thumb.gif

If you want to catch Portugal day on the 10th (street festival) and 11th (Parade, plus lots of grilled sardines) Newark is the place to be. If you go to Penn Station Newark, get off and head towards Ferry Street (it's right outside the station). It will be closed off, and jammed with folks. Lots of good food and good music on saturday night- a lot of the Brazilians come out and there are usually a few Samba bands playing.

Where are you staying in Jersey? I suggest avoiding manhattan as its super-expensive- you can catch the PATH from Newark Penn Station or Jersey City and get into New York in about 15-20 minutes. $1.50 per ride, way cheaper than a hotel in the city.

PM me for my phone number, if you want to meet up, or if you get stuck somewhere and need help, give me a ring.

I've never been to Beantown but I'd like to go. I'd only shoot film in NYC.
I'm in DC a lot for weddings but still don't know my way around too well (damn monument district city planning). If ne1 is coming to B'more, Mobtown, Harmcity, The City That Bleeds I offer up my services as tour and food guide. I've shot a little in Phila. and I would certainly make a trip there for a Dgrin meetup.

Well, I'm in Calvert County (Southern Maryland, 'bout 30min South of Annapolis and 45 mins South and East of DC). Everything is "far" away from here, so I'm up for traveling.

Also, I'll be in Lexington, Va for four days soon. I'm riding in the World Percheron Congress at the Virginia Horse Center so I'll be in town Oct. 24-28th. Hopefully the foliage will behave and be real pretty when I get down there.

I'll probably make a hike out to Natural Bridge one of the days, any suggestions? I can't be gone the whole day since I do have to get back and check on/feed my horse, but I'm sure he wouldn't miss for a few hours. :)

    New York Photo Meetup
    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone here was planning on attending the New York Photo Safari Meetup on the 27th? It is going to be at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, which I have heard is a wonderful place.

Sorry Andy, I forgot to add the link for the Brookklyn Botanic Garden. http://photo.meetup.com/304/calendar/5338940/

All you need to do is join the meetup group online and then reply yes or no. I went on another safari at the Bronx Zoo over the summer and they are a nice group of people.

this is a nice time of year to visit the bronx or philly zoo's. A lot of the cold weather animals are much more active this time of year! I'm a member at the philly zoo and am game for any shoots in the NYC/Philly area as long as I have free time! :D
