OK David. I didn't know how you guys might see that one, but thought I'd point it out.
I will also mention that a Google search shows this ad on a number of photo sites. That is why I thought of it as spammmmy.

Understood. And thanks for pointing it out. I had to do a double take on that post to sort it out.
Just think of it this way, if one of our own had passed away, an auction (however it got done) is what survivors would want, and spreading out the former assets among the community and relieving the family's burdons a bit would be a splendid thing and we'd do our best to help. I don't know what forums (if any) the photographer was a member of, but it doesn't make a difference. The use of the most of the photog boards, even if it might rub up against the rules of some of them (not us, actually), is fine in my book.
