Okay, so B&H limits search results to 250 maximum. As a web developer I find that to be lame with a capital L-A-M-E.

It's intentional. B&H has soooo much stuff, they would be serving up tons of wasted bandwidth otherwise. They also serve images with the search results. Just imagine what their Iserver load must be.

Most searches are "window shoppers", who buy little or nothing. 250 returns on each request is not that limiting. Few real choices are missed by buyers with honest intent to buy, once they narrow the search.

As is the site I did with Real Estate. Most searches turned up over 1500 homes, but we didn't limit how many they could look at. That's broken usability. Plus, bandwidth is cheap.

    Gus,

Just go to the B&H site and enter the psaug06 in the search window.

Note that this isn't an across the board sale, just "sweetening" the price on a few items.

I ended up dealing with the limit by using the Refine Results picker. Select only the brands you want, or exclude brands you know you don't want. Which is how I would have had to filter the list anyway if they listed all results.

I always run through the manufactuer list. Really, dumpung all 440-or-so results is just too many for most people to deal with. I prefer to take all those hits in smaller bites. Helps me digest them, helps the server load; I don't agree that it's lame at all.

Thanks Ziggy! I just got a good deal on a Canon 580ex flash ( and of course a Gary Fong Lightsphere!). I saved $20! It should arrive today!

Hint... wait another week or two on the 1DsMkII. Photokina. News there will push prices of older cams down soon.

I have little use for a camera right now. I sold my 1DII a year ago because of this deployment. :(

psaug seems to work. Canon Speedlite 580EX USA regular 379.95, 359.95 with code, among 20 other pages of stuff.
Your search for "psaug" returned 424 item(s)

I haven't found anything profound, $10-20 here and there, but it's worth a look.

There is a "pssep06" code that works, but only against 6 items, mostly software.

Try "pssep" without the "06" it returns 278 items...

Gotta be from leftover from last year. The 1DsMkII is back up to $8G? That can't be right. I'll bet the pssep06 is the current special. And they usually skip a month. The next big special sheet should be psoct06

Yeah, pssep returns items, but shows no discount on the things I checked, whereas psaug still does. Wondering if I should wait to purchase until they do one for October. :)
