The B&H specials from the Photo Plus Expo are valid thru November 17th.:D
Bummer -- I was just about to place my order today, and the price on the softbox I was going to get has jumped by $20. Guess I'll settle for a smaller one :cry.

hey y'all, I have an idea, let's make this the B&H deal thread. yeah? Deal stuff seems to be choking out everything else lately - the good stuff, like FS. Let's give it a try.
Unathorized use of B&H Sale Codes
Just a heads up that I recently went to order the 24-70 from B&H. I gave him the PSNOV code for it (PPE06 was expired) and he tore me new one
Wanted to know where I got it who, just who did I think I was, those were only for people who attend shows or thru promos (and NOT for people to pick up over the web), yada, yada. All I could say was OK. But I still was going to order it. But he hung up on me! :cry I still wanted to order the lens!
So I called back and asked for a supervisor...got transferred around...finally got some one to take my order. And let me use the code!
I admit he was probably right, but since B&H 'monitors' this forum I would be interested in their position on this (don't ask, don't tell?).
BTW - I got the lens today. I'll report back on it. Thanks for all the comments/opinions on it vs. the 24-105. Hopefully they don't trace my posting name back to my account :nono

One question - do things bought with these codes qualify for Canon's rebates? I'm guessing so, since they really just affect the price from B+H, but I'd like to be sure before splashing out.

Yeah, but good luck getting the Canon rebate. I know I've brought this up on dgrin a couple of times, but that's because I'm still waiting on an $800 rebate that was arbitrarily reduced to $50 at one point-- several calls to Canon and Young America (who handles the rebates), followed by e-mails and more calls-- and I still haven't recieved anything. But allegedly, "the check is in the mail."
Anyway-- just my two-cents. Don't factor the rebate into your purchase decision because you're gonna be fighting tooth and nail for it-- even if you follow the directions exactly and correctly submit everything. Other forums are full of similar tales to mine-- and at least two state attorney generals are now investigating Young America for how they handle the rebates.

Unbeatable price from the most reputable dealer around. This price does not include a $50 rebate.

This is using psnov code.
What is a psnov code. If you search B&H for PSNOV, a bunch of things come up at a lower price than what's listed.

Hi Andy, Do you know if the 15% off applies to Gitzo monopods?

psdec is for 2005. That's why the prices are goofy.
psdec06 is current.

none of those codes were working for me...is that because it's 2007 now and they're just waiting for the next photo expo or what?

No older code works in their new beta website. Last I checked, they did still work in their older version of their site.

So is anything likely to come of this?
I know there were some horror stories about Canon's rebates - has anyone actually received their rebates without problems?

Wrong words use I. Their old site is their current site, and their beta site is their future site.
