Yes Nick, thanks. For some customers, the website is unavailable. We don't yet know the reason. But I, for example, can get to your site no trouble. Weird internets today. We're on it!
I'm also experiencing slow connections and timeouts when trying to upload photos (and even just sign in) to Smug Mug.
I'm in Brooklyn on a mac-- My trace follows.
Hope you can find a fix soon!

you can add me to the list I can not get into my site and I cant get into any other sites as well, I posted soemthing about this and it disappeared here... sorry it was a double post.... but I just cant get into my site today
There was an incredibly significant degrade in connectivity to SmugMug starting around 7 p.m. PST last night and is still a problem (1/04/07; 7:20 a.m. PST). Connectivity is so slow that pages won't load (get DNS errors, hit reload, sometimes it does very slowly, sometimes not). The JAVA upload page never loads properly, so it can't be used.
No other connectivity or speed of download or upload problems on any other channel but smugmug.com....
I note that the connectivity problem is not just to my pages, but to ALL pages at smugmug.com, including help pages, etc.
For instance, if I go to http://www.smugmug.com/help/themes and click on any of the menu items, I get an "error on page" status bar message and no connectivity at all.
Personally, I found this connectivity problem challenging -- it happened right after I put down my money for a Power User Account. My first thought was, "geez, they let me have a fast server while I tested them out before joining, and now.... ugh!" I hope that is NOT the problem... it appears not to be since several other people are complaining.... but, the connectivity problem was interesting timing for me.
Hope you find a fix... take care, Ron
You'll have to trust me Ron, but SmugMug's customer service is amazing. I have no doubt that all hands are on deck with fire in their bellies right now.

Yep SmugMug's customer service is amazing.. I know them, they'll get right on it

Tried again and I got my site and uploaded two images.
Once completed I trird the link on the upload page. stopped dead.
Went to my browzer and selected my site from drop down menu and it came up, a bit slowy but it came up.
Used 'Arrange photos', worked almost immediately.
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Same here... very slow or site can not be reached at all. Other sites have no problem (dgrin/cnn/google/etc)

My site is still not loading properly. For one I get all the theme names typed out in their entirety, and then I have one category per line instead of the normal display, it's freaking me out a bit.

You'll have to trust me Ron, but SmugMug's customer service is amazing. I have no doubt that all hands are on deck with fire in their bellies right now.

Sometimes I'm getting the same look on my pages. Same slowness or timeout for me. Red java "X" trying to upload.

hera and pluto have very similar traceroutes up to the last hop; why is dgrin perfectly usable but smugmug very slow?
dgrin:

There's some packet loss around hop 7 (Level3) but that's probably just a red herring.
I know you guys will have it fixed soon as you always do, but this is just a report...

My site is still not loading properly. For one I get all the theme names typed out in their entirety, and then I have one category per line instead of the normal display, it's freaking me out a bit.
When I pinged my site I got the following:
