Why not something really simple like this:
(also added some curves in L mode and some G-blur with the mask)
Yes/No/Same?
Thanks . I never thought of apply such a steep crop. Part of my not feeling sure about the crop was what to do with those lights on the bridge. It never dawned on me to crop as much as you did -- when you did that they're no longer an issue. I'll have to play with this some more!! Thanks again!!!!!

Sure:-) It's always easy cut somebody else's work shot
I really hope you were either not driving or going slower than it looks like. Also that you're in one of those crazy countries where you're supposed to drive on the wrong side of the road!

Very nice shot though.
First off , you'll be glad to know I didn't take the photo as I was riding the bike - my wife took it from the pillion seat !!
And ...............I am on the correct side of the road ..in England ...:D
Unless you're in UK... Dude, dodn't do this, we need you alive:-)
Nice 1VP, very creative.
I only don't get partial grayscale...
Taken in England ..the partial grayscale thing was done using Picasa , in my ignorance I did not keep a copy of the original [ stupid me - I have a lot to learn ] .
Thank you!
#1: no show
#2: nice 1VP of SF
$3: good idea with vertical VP
#4: uhm, I don't think this really qualifies, road is too curvy, there is not enough visual guides to create VP effect, IMHO
Side note: until I checked the EXIF I thought you're shooting FF film on ##2,3.. Strong vingetting, oversaturated colors, noise...
Thank you!

Thanks for the input - still new to this forum - wasn't aware of the 'fresh' qualifer, although #2 and 3 are fresh, #1 and 4 aren't.
yeah i'm shooting on a canon 30D - i set the contrast and saturation 2 notches above even for all shots - i like the effect.
sorry if a dumb question, but is FF film short for "Full Format" film?
Very cool! Nice 1VP entry!
Had the shot been processed and didn't have the wiper (or whatever is that shadowy thingie) on the left, it would simply be a very nice picture, not just an entry

Welcome to the Class and to Dgrin!
Nice 1VP entry!
My only grudge is that is seems overproccessed without a proper reason

I am learning more about photoshop and I was experimenting
with the lighting effects, here is the original.
You meant - cropped original, right? :hide

Correct cropped original
Yes, "FF" is "full frame", i.e. sensor exactly matching 35mm frame, and "film" is, err, film...
Very cool! Nice 1VP entry!
